Anyways got to the park around 10:45 to find that they had already opened. So we decided on S:UF first. Waited about 20 mins for that. Next was RC. Gotta love the capacity of this ride. It was about a 10 min wait and didnt even go into the switchbacks. First time i've waited in the normal queue for a long time. Next was B:TR which had a nearly empty station. Had a nice back row ride. Next was V2 which was about 5 minutes. Walking past IW we realized the corkscrew is gone now.
Next was American Eagle. I was heartbroken when i found out they were only running blue side. But the worst part was that it was going fowards again. Why can't they let it run backwards during FF. Oh well it seemed smoother going forwards then backwards and the line was back to how it ususally is. Nice and Short.
After a quick snack it was Raging Bull time. Which nearly shocked me with it's 5 minute wait. Always thought Saturdays in FF were the most crowded time of the year. Than it was time for
TERROR TWISTER 2
I always forget how fun this ride is. Plus the line was short for the most part. After a rough ride on Viper that made it slip down to Mt Olympus standard not to mention made me regret thinking it was a better ride than Millennium Forceless it was time for another TT2 ride.
After that it was time for Swamp Thing or Biohazard or Whizzer or whatever it's called this week. First ride on Whizzer in a while that i actually had a lot of fun. After finding out TDK was closed we went on Rue le Morgue which i thought was a really fun ride. Never thought they did much of anything with this ride. When it comes to FF i'm more of a GP than an enthusiast. After a TDK ride we went home.
All in all it was a fun day. It was nice not having that much people there but there was not that much decorations out. And i never once saw a scary person out. Well i'll probably go once again this year at night and that might be it for 2011
Anyways, thank you for reading

First weekend of Fright Fest is always the best because most people don't show up till Columbus Day Weekend. Plus the bad weather recently even Saturday it was not great turned people off from going. It will not be this uncrowded again. Columbus Day weekend is here and schools are closed!
Here's my opinion on Fright Fest. Yes, the Seven Sins Cemetery really just has those houses again, but they aren't really sins anymore. They are just random houses. For Rue Le Morgue, to me I think it got too bright as in black lights. They aren't your normal black lights anymore, but they could be that way because of safety reasons. Most of the skeletons that talk are not out yet... There is an animatronic skeleton that plays his guitar near the Mardi Gras games (The one year he was by the entrance of Southwest Territory games area), and there is one in Tinseltown for the mini-Area 51. He wasn't plugged in though. -The Terminator skeleton. Granted, they usually add more stuff from week to week though. They have the skeletons on top in Southwest Territory, but they weren't moving. No skeleton band I've seen either. East River Crawler is dead. Who knows if it will work again this year? It wasn't open Sat or Sun. Batman the Ride on Sun has a sign this ride will not open today. Has the motor died, and will it work again for Fright Fest? I really hope it opens again this year. On Sat though for Batman, I noticed that the railings are painted black again. The 2 weeks before the railings were like brown. They must have been a primer.
No water rides are working. It's not like I care though with this cold weather, but I'm just mentioning it. I really could careless for the Hometown Square theming. For Hometown Fun Machine that looked cool with that ride dealing with toxic, but the toxic barrels is annoying, and the rest of theming just looks like junk they found. For the Whizzer, around the end helix / turn, they have barrels with cop lights on it. That's pretty lame to me.
Birds are the same, but it seemed like they need another black light on it. And Condor got it's n back. For Love at First Fright, there is a new character- a mummy. For that Dead Man's Party, I didn't hear that Walking with a Zombie song. I wish they would have sang that one. To me, I really think they should make that Mooseburger Lodge just a show venue because they have a nice stage, and it's indoors. People like indoor stages better than being out in the cold, or the heat. Move the restaurant part in Southwest Territory where they took out the buffet instead. For Necropolis, I liked it better last year because at least you go to go inside that building. Also, they didn't have the people in the beds this year.
The Predator statue for the Whizzer wasn't there (and he might be moved anyway), and the Pumpkinhead statue for Terror Twister wasn't there either. You know those Aliens in the logo. I didn't see them anywhere. Everything can't be out. I was unimpressed with the clown Fantome show in Mardi Gras. Sure, the women were hot looking, but the songs I didn't care for them except this one song was Pink - Funhouse, but other than that, not my taste.

If you left at 3 that explains why you didn't see any scare actors. They come out after the afternoon parade at 4:00pm. Much easier to scare people at night, so I'd rather have them out at night and not waste the time during the day.
As for the decorations I think the park did a great job this season. They actually tried to come up with some themes and stick to them instead of just using that black fabric everywhere.
Personally I thought that fantome show was a great addition to the show line up, it's new and doesn't just feel like another Dead Man's Party.

I'm in college and probably won't make it to fright fest this year. i wanna know what this is about and see it. can somebody send a picture and also, are they planning on painting it black again or something
^It was brown 2 weeks ago, but I believe that was just a primer thing in order for them to paint it black. They are are all black - the rails. The wall on one corner, there was one brown spot which I assume they will paint that black again. Though, the walls, you can still see knicks on them like they haven't done that.
Just in case you don't know what a primer is: It's "a substance used as a preparatory coat on previously unpainted wood, metal, or canvas, esp. to prevent the absorption of subsequent layers of paint or the development of rust." I don't have a picture of the brown primer because they painted the black over it, and I only seen one week (Sept 24th I believe, and the next week it wasn't open to general public).

oh do u mean the railing for when you're standing in line? I was thinking you meant the rails on the actual ride itself. i wish they'd paint it black again
