Yeah that's just crazy Necro. We're kinda of just thinking about going to Cedar Point for the weekend. I dunno. I'm really frustrated wtih Six Flags Great America.
Candy: What you lookin' at? Otis B. Driftwood: I'm lookin' at you, mama. Candy: Yeah, you see something you like? Otis B. Driftwood: Maybe. I set my standards pretty low, so I'm never disappointed.
^Well if you live near Cedar Point I would highly recommend going there instead otherwise if you live near SFGAm, I'd stick with SFGAm if you want to save money so you don't travel all the way to CP and waste gas $, food $, etc. Yeah crazy prices!! Ive never seen the park jack up the prices for FF.
If I could live close to Cedar Point I would be a happy person..lol. What were the FF prices like last year?

Let's hope Taco Bell coupons appear, usually those are buy one get one free for Fridays, then something like $20 off the other days, don't remember for sure what it was.

Wow so now the online tickets are no longer just $34.99! From Oct 1-10th tickets are still $34.99, then every friday after that tickets are $39.99. And then sat-sun starting the 15th, tickets online are $44.99!!!! Jeez!!! I thought tickets were gonna stay at $34.99 online!! Wow Six Flags once again ceases to amaze me.
Really...its not like we didnt know this was coming. JMA said that at times with higher attendance, like FF, the number of coupons and they amount save you would be lower than at lower attendance times. As pointed out, it's still cheaper than paying at the gate. Or just buy a season pass. Problem solved.
If I could find out what coupons and the discounts were, I would by a season pass.

The online prices are in line with the coupons out there. If you go to the park with a coke can or buy a ticket online you are roughly paying the same price. If you buy a ticket online or from the gate not using a coupon you pretty much aren't a smart shopper.
The only slightly good thing I guess is if you don't have the option of paying online or dont have access to a credit/debit card or computer, you can still bring a coke can to the park. You would be paying the same online anyway because the last 2-3 weeks or so online prices for admission are $44.99. Normal admission is $59.99 so you subtract the $15 discount from the coke can and that brings you down to $44.99. See? Same price with a coke can. Best just bring one. Plus you don't have to worry about forgetting your ticket. what I did one year was I dug through the garbage at the park for a coke can and found one on top and just gave it to the cashier. They accepted it and I got my discount.
I'm just going to buy them online. Probably be the last time I go until they lower their prices which I don't think will ever happen. Thanks everyone for the advice. So anyone else going this Saturday? I'll be wearing my Arrow Dynamics hat. If you see me say hi!

I'll be at the park tomorrow for Preview Night - I may bring a camera, probably not though. As I usually do, I'll post a TR about the entire experience outlining everything I saw. More tomorrow night.
I can't wait to see pics. To answer your question, yes I wear one. I wear mine because I don't wear pants with pockets and I don't want to lose my phone and such.

if you can swing 15 more then full price get the season pass. You only gotta go 1 more time to have it pay for itself!
I agree, easier than complaining about Fright Fest entrance fees going up throughout October would be to simply purchase a 2012 Season Pass online. Chances are you'll regret not having done so next year anyway, so better to bite the bullet now.
Whoever asked about fanny packs--no. No one. Soccer moms maybe. Not even them. Instead, get cargo pants--long for May and October, shorts for summer. Preferably with zipper pockets. Or if it's cold enough, wear a jacket with zipper pockets. Leave everything in your car you absolutely don't need. If you have more than your season pass, a credit/debit card, license/ID, a cell phone, and a small plastic ziploc bag (for water rides) in your cargo pants, you're overloaded.

Well theres always the good old Jewels you can still get discounted tickets at their store I think and park at Gurnee Mills and just ride Pace Bus 565 to get to the park and back to the mall.

Won't they tow you though?

Probably less likely to get towed there than at Burger King. Best bet (other than just paying the $20.00) would be to walk into the mall and out another exit. Then make sure you get back not too long after the mall closes.
Yeah, make 'em think we're in the mall..lol. I'll count my losses and pay the 20 bucks...lol. Better than having to go a tow yard at midnight looking for the car. Had that happen to a friend once and yes it was Burger King.
