I have a friend who works at the park in Flash pass and he stated that none of the grunts knew about the ride. Are any of the mods office types, something tells me $25 M got budgeted a while back.

Keeping a superhero name would have been cool though. Green Lantern, Hawkman, whatever. But X Flight could be called the Flying Dutchman for I care.

Still riding the crap out of it... ;)

Flash Pass is a lessee and know less than the "grunts" who work for the park. That said, any time there are big plans like this things begin to circulate the park. Believe me, B&M wingrider and Iron Wolf's relocation was going around the park for quite some time before it was announced. Why do you think the mods hear about some things before the general public.

^Well for one, the supposed B&M Wing Rider joke on April fools which with time lead to an the fact the we are getting a wing rider added to the suspicion. Then when Iron Wolf leaving rumors started to circulate, the website got changed to a red theme before it was announced IW was in fact leaving. So for now I am kinda suspecting either the mods or at least someone or some people on this site know more than the rest of us.

All the elements seemed to add up once the Chang project went to NJ. With Chang pieces spotted around the park and the initial Village Board Meeting approval to be suddenly be pulled, it seemed like "Hey Hank, do you want Chang/Green Lantern for 2011 or X-Flight for 2012?"

 of course they do! Some of those guys worked at the park for years. Its very likley they have inside sources. Its really not that hard to know whats going on, you just need to look beyond whats on SFGAm World and know the right people.

So Cole, what are we getting next year then in Wolfie's spot?

Windseeker, or a 4D coaster?

Green Lantern First Flight looks pretty cool.
