The title says it all. For me the answer is not V2, not Vu (Never rode it) and not Rajun Cajun. It actually was TTD. I don't know if it just had a bad crew, or if it was because of high winds but as many of you know TTD boards two trains at a time. They dispatched a pair of trains ever 5-6 mins. Is this always how TTD operates.
Deja Vu was a joy to watch the ride in motion, so it's hard to say I hated waiting in line. Plus, they had the great music on. For slowest moving line, for me it was Ragin Cajun. You knew they had 2 of those lines open, it's still going to be pretty bad! And V2 is faster now. It can't be 90 seconds anymore because they are sending it much faster than that. Maybe, it's 60 seconds, but it just can't be 90 anymore.
Though more recently I was in line for Roaring Rapids, and it took forever and ever. The reason for the slowness is because they only had 1 employee on the turntable, and the one employee has to stay with the one raft the entire time. So, it's 12 people every minute or so get sent.
Mr. Freeze at SFOT or SFStL isn't too fast especially if they only have 1 side open. It's a 20 person train. The loading is faster than Deja Vu, but it also has less people compared to what Deja Vu had. Deja Vu is 32, and V2 is 28.
TTD hasn't been that long for me.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
TTD wasn't all that slow on the 2 trips I've taken to CP. It was probably a bad weather day or exceptionally bad crew that day. Slowest lines I've experienced were at Indiana Beach. They were running one train on most rides there even though a few could go more. They were so slow that I didn't even think the coasters were open when I walked in since none of them appeared to be running.
BTW TTD was also worse than anything at Mt Olympus. That should say something. And i think it was too windy. It broke down for about 10 mins and i heard i closed shortly after my ride. The trains went over the lift hill slower than i've seen in videos and a couple i thought for a second that they were going to rollback. It opened late too but i don't know what late is for TTD. I probably got in line at 11:15-11:30. Didn't seem that windy but i guess it was too windy for TTD. Of course all of this was on a day where Mantis had a longer line than Forceless. Both were running at full capacity too
^Dragster went fine when I was there. At Mt. Olympus were 10 minutes between returning to the station and dispatch for all the wooden coasters.
The two worst I've ever had are Kraken at Sea World Orlando and Gwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa. Not only are the crews beyond awful but there is no airflow in the stations. I enjoy Kraken a lot and live 10 minutes from the park and never go due to how awful the crews are. It should not taken 5 minutes to unload and load a B&M coaster.
I don't know exactly what is the slowest moving line i've ever been in but can remember quite a few that stick out. The Hades line is always a wonderful experience, last time I was in it some kids decided to go over by the ride area and relieve themselves and since the ride doesn't have fences around it got very close to the track.
Waiting in line for Gwazi is normally painful but this one time was particularly brutal because the park was slammed due to it being Cheetah Hunt's opening day but the ride not being open yet, and with Gwazi running one side with a terribly slow crew the line that should have been 30 minutes ended up being 1 hour 30 minutes in non ventilated Florida humidity surrounded by rowdy pre-teen school groups.
Also there was one time I was in line for X2 and we waited through the queue house for maybe an hour like normal then got to the split the line did not move for 30 minutes even though trains were going by at normal intervals (which is normally slow at that ride but the line should have at least moved). Our view was blocked by a wall so we couldn't figure out if it was because of Flashpass or if they were just trying to empty out the ramp up to the station but that was particularly brutal as the line was still at least another 20 minutes or so even after getting past the split.
Another time I was in line for Maverick the year it opened and it was breaking down so often that they didn't even bother doing announcements that it was down anymore, so the line would move like normal for like 10 minutes, then stop moving for 20 minutes, then run like normal for 10 minutes or so, then not run again for 30 minutes, then run like normal for 15 minutes, then not run again for another 20 minutes or so. And anyone who's been in line for that ride knows how much of a zoo that queue can be, I was waiting for a full scale riot but luckily most people that were very upset stormed away cussing and didn't cause mass chaos.
^As much as I love them, Mindbender and Monster Mansion were awful lines. Monster Mansion being particularity bad as it is a ride with duel loading stations and no checks of any time once the rider gets in. Mindbender's line was easily the hottest I've ever been in. It was to the point of passing out after 45 minutes in that line.
^The trees hold in the heat and the humidity is a killer. The other problem is there is nothing to even look at depending on where you are at in line. For 20 minutes all we saw was a Monster Mansion boat on refurb and loud teens trying to cause problems. It was worth it in the end as the ride is outstanding.
^In addition there is nothing to do or see in line for this overrated ride. It was fun and cool but after 10 or so times i could see it becoming boring. And i don't even get whay they have 2nd and 3rd rows when you can't even see anything (think B&M invert)
Personally the slowest moving line for me was either Viper at Frightfest last year or when The Dark Knight opened. Last year the line for Viper barely budged at all to the point where people with flash passes were leaving too! Now THAT is something unheard of!! While in line people kept leaving and we thought we would slowly get closer to the front...nope in about 20 minutes we moved at most 10-15 feet. Plus we were at the entrance of the queue!! Also the year TDK opened, the wait was 3.5 hours!!! Biggest waste of my time!!
For me it's definitely Viper on a busy day. It seems like it takes forever just to scoot up a few steps. Dragster is long if it has its "mini breakdowns" throughout. Another honorable mention is Dudley Doo Right which took a long time to load but perhaps it was a bad crew.
Top 3 Steel Coasters: 1. The Incredible Hulk 2. Maverick 3. Dragon Challenge (Fireball)
Top 3 Wood Coasters: 1. The Beast 2. American Eagle (Red) 3. Hades
I forgot to mention quite possibly the worst capacity coaster ever, Steel Hawg at Indiana Beach. When I was there the line was through the full queues stretching back halfway through the park. Each train holds 4 people, it was running 2 trains, and the ride was stacking. They were moving literally 4 people through the ride every 4 minutes. Its a good thing we got on it right after it opened otherwise there is no way we would have got on it
