I don't reccomend it unless you wanna be carted off in handcuffs. (I wouldn't try to go past the gates at the front of Grand Ave, they know who you are now ).

^Lmao.

Why would you wanna tresspass when 1. There will be emplyees and possible guards there keeping guests out, 2. If you try to or even do tresspass and are caught you'll, as Papas said, will get carted out in handcuffs, probably go to jail, and will most likely be suspended or even banned from the park and will definetly be banned from this site. I don't think that a few pics are worth all that ecspessaliy when you could just go on that hill outsides sfgam and get
a somwhat ok view of the construction anyway.
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/

They wouldn't make it so you can't walk through the area that totally takes away from the circle. If you get to East River Crawler and you have to get home fast you have to go all the way back around the park to get out that would suck. I'm pretty sure that they will have all the themeing, and the restraunt done by then so they most likely will just have the rides not be open. Or possiblly some of them will be open by then who knows...

Yeah I pretty sure it will be open. Remeber what they did with Deja Vu and how much that sucked. Always having to go through Southwest when ever you wanted to go to County Fair.

I don't really see a problem yet with them not getting done. It's only January. They have 3 months to go. I would be look more into the fact like the beginnig of April on wether they will finish or not.

They can't just snap their fingers and automatically have it done. If it takes them until the third week of May, then it takes them that long. Plus its been really cold this winter too and I don't know about you but I would not be working outside for long periods of time either.

Look. If you want to see what's going on for yourself, go to the job fair and pretend to be going for a job ap. You'll get a good look at the employee's lot that way. Of course, if you're actually applying, look at it this way. More incentive to go!

The Gurnee Review (Local Gurnee paper) has published an article on Mardi Gras, if you'd like to read it. "The park is adding five new rides this season and revamping part of Orleans Place"..."The lower section of Orleans Place will become the new Mardi Gras area". I am assuming that the lower section is the southern section, near Roaring Rapids. This makes it sound like they are only revamping the area near Roaring Rapids, where the new Ragin Cajun will be. The press release makes it sound like the new area will be located next to Roaring Rapids. I think that if you consider all the sources, it sounds like only the area next to Roaring Rapids will revamped, but all of Orleans Place will go under the name Mardi Gras.

BMRider wrote:Wow some people just cant read a newspaper article for their life. Chitown posted an article that was published today. Most of that information came from the press release and NCC. Now it said that Orleans place will be renamed to Mardi Gras. I trust a newspaper, where they have the press release , over a person who is so excited about the new additions that they only hear half of what is being announed. I guess we will have to wait and see to prove some people wrong.

It's interesting that you rely so much on an article which almost completely botches information on another re-named area of the park. Not only did the Looney Tunes National Park renovation occur a year before the 1999 season, but it was "Bugs Bunny's Yukon Adventure" for the few years prior.

Further marks against the article's facts: Southwest Territory debuted in 1996; and the minimum height for the spinning mouse will almost certainly be 48 inches, not 42. That's the height for both Animal Kingdom coasters and Exterminator at Kennywood, and most importantly the height quoted on the parks website.

Sorry, if this has been addressed allready, I looked.

Are all of our rides new? A bit back I thought we were getting rides in a ride exchange program. Are these rides from another park or are they brand new out of the box with the styrofoam peanuts new?

Instead of painting Batman all yellow they should paint it dark purple with beige-colored supports like Montu...that would fit the whole "Gotham City" theme pretty well, that would be a lot better of a color scheme than yellow with purple supports...

I dont think that its confirmed that it will have purple supports, my guess is that they will leave the supports black, i know that other batmans are purple and yellow but i just dont see that happening here.

FYI, Batman isn't black. It's A very dark blue (sort of purple-ish).

Our Batman IS black... the color scheme I heard (to be painted) was yellow track with dark (Batman) blue supports.

No our Batman really is a dark, dark blue. If you look at one of the supports very closely you'd see this.

I think Batman is Batman Blue. Just at it and compare it to the Demon. Which seems darker?
