Opening Day 2009. It was so cold, and I was one of the 20 cars in the parking lot.
I went with my sister (she is in the pink) but otherwise, the rest of the people there were employees! I got 14 rides on Viper and 8 rides on Raging Bull that day. I also got multiple rides on everything else, but I just don't remember off the top of my head.
I would guess November 3rd, 2002. At the last minute, the park added an extra weekend onto the end of the season and everything was half priced. But they never really advertised it at all, plus it was so cold that the pond in front of Columbia Carousel had frozen the night before. It was so dead that pretty much every flat was closed by the end of the day and all the coasters were running 1 train and were still mostly empty.
The day whenever Deja Vu was actually open on opening day. (I don't know the year) I got to stay on Deja Vu without getting off. I have never had that pleasure on any other day I went to SFGAm when it was still there. If you saw Deja Vu empty when it was open, you knew there was almost no one in the park.
I rode it a lot that day. I don't know how many times exactly, but I didn't have to get off.

I was there too. The park was completley dead. It was so cold I had to wear gloves and a hat on every ride. I got on every coaster and re-rode Batman 9 times. Great Memories of my first opening day.
Top 5: 1) El Toro. 2) Maverick. 3) Millenium Force. 4) Diamondback. 5) X2. Coaster Count: 167 (41 Wood, 125 Steel) @Coaster_Cole on Twitter
This was my least crowded day. Looking back it was either September 18th or 25th 2009. McDonald's was supposed to rent out the park for it's employees but cancelled at the last minute. So the park wasn't supposed to be opened to the public. Add that to a rainy and cold night and the fact that it was a Friday night and most schools have football games and the place was DEAD. And the best part was the park was pretty much running at capacity. No one train operations or anything. Infact AE had both sides both trains running. How often can you ride S:UF in the front row twice with out getting off.
My least crowded day ever came this year on May 15. The station for Raging Bull was about 3 4ths full and that was it, and I got 4 in a row on the Bull, 4 on Batman, and 4 on the Little Dipper. At one point, me, my dad, and another guy were the only people within eye range in the area of the park by the Demon connecting County Fair and Southwest Territory.
I'm sure the park doesn't keep any records like that, but it's probably gotta be one of the days of the bonus weekend in Nov of 2002 where everything was half price, and I mean everything! They didn't advertise that weekend one iota, it was well below freezing both days, the reflection pond was frozen over, I forget the exact numbers, but the more crowded of the days had something like 300 people in the entire park, and the other day I don't remember if they even broke 200 people in the park, and pretty much everything was operating, even shockingly Deja Vu which couldn't even dispatch til it had a full train due to the weather and the fact it was Deja Vu. It would take 10-30 mins to get a full train, and you had no choice of seating, but re-rides were offered. Again my memory is hazy (especially right now for a reason I wont go into), but I think I remember Bull running one train with absolutely no one in the station. I remember for sure Viper ran one train as the transfer track was frozen in place, whenever Viper run's one train, you remember that kind of thing

I would have to say the first weekend in 2009. I rode Viper twice in a row, didnt even have to get up, rode SUF twice, Bull twice, American eagle twice, V2 once, BTR twice, IW once all in a matter of 3 hours!! Then the park closed early afternoon because the weather looked like it was gonna get worse.
Last Blast on November 2nd and 3rd was ridiculously empty. It was basically full park ERT. Went both days with my daughter and had alot of fun. My daughter power rode Giant Drop about 20 times without leaving her seat.
It was great eating food at half price which basically brought the prices down to normal levels.
Also bought some souvenirs.
The park will never be doing that again unless they put it on their calendar at the beginning of the season and promote it being half price on everything.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
There was a weekday in May in 2009 that had exactly 4 buses and my little car in the parking lot. When the school cleared out at 2 (was a 5 closing) I did not see another guest the entire day.
^If that was the day it rained...if I remember correctly, it wasn't dead at the beginning, but once the rain came everyone pretty much left and the last two hours of the park that day probably had less than 100 people. I got on Bull at least 17 straight times and would've stayed on but I wanted to other things.
Sort of on topic, I'm curious if this opening day is going to be packed because of X-Flight? Was opening day '99 and '03 packed for Bull and Superman, respectively?
Yes and yes. SUF's line was through the full queues and out past Rue Le Dodge sometimes to the Carousel pretty much every day it's first season. I also remember V2 having a full queue including the extended bridge-queue almost every day it's first year.
Some day in june of 2007. There was a handful of people when the parked open. It stayed that way until 4 P.M. Lol Raging Bull rode it 7 times in a row. The other rides 4-5 times each. But sadly deja vu wasn't working so i never got to ride it.
^ This year's May weekdays were a complete loss. Too many school groups. Every May weekday I went this year was packed and understaffed. Last year's May weekdays were dead though.
Admission= 15.00 Parking= Free Only like 25 Rides Open that Day All Food, Games, and Souvenirs 1/2 Off, Except for Coin Games
I Won My Sister a Bean Soccer Ball. Still Have It. It was my Family playing the Water Wars Game. I told strangers to wait just so we'd win no matter what.
