I'll post what I found on the Great America Facebook Page:
Hey Guys – join us this Friday morning to dance on TV with NBC 5 News Today's Dance Friday! Enter through the Grand Ave entrance at 6:15am (free parking) and come get your groove on with NBC, Bugs Bunny and friends. Then stay for a screening of Screams and Dreams and private ride time on Superman and Condor before the park opens. (yup, that’s free too.) Event runs from 6:15am-9am. See you there!
Now I like the idea of private ride time but idk if I want to be on tv. I wonder how crowded this is going to be too.
I'll probably be there, I will most likely refuse to dance, but the only reason I want to go to SFGAm at all this year is to see the pictorium show, and this is the free-est way to do that. Could care less about ride time.

Now it appears that ride time is only from 8:15 to 9:00 which basically means u get one or two rides and then ur done considering how crowded i think it will be.
Geesh, that's early to get to the park at that time. For all the people shower, I think for that event people don't usually want to shower with other people. This event they could get more people, but the problem I see is that the time is really early. It might take people 1 hr or 1 hr and 1/2 to get to the park, so they would have to leave at 5 am or 5:30 am, or even earlier because you say they close the gates at 6:30 am, so you have to be there earlier than that. And yes, they are giving perks like Superman / Condor, see the show, but you also have to wait around for another hour (from 9 am - 10 am) in order for the park to open.
And on about any day to SFGAm, people are late to begin with. I just see these people getting there early are going to be worn out for the rest of the day. Might even leave early because of tired they might be.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
not expecting it, but it'd be nice if we were allowed to stay in the park for the day. I'd like to snag a ride or 3 on Whizzer before heading home.
Either way beats paying $50+ between parking and admission basically just cause I want to see the Pictorium show
edit: seeing as tickets are $25 if you know all the right codes and whatnot, I got me a ticket and will probably spend the day in the park. Figure the free parking alone makes it worth it.

They danced to Love Roller Coaster by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. How fitting. From the TV, I could see there was a fair amount of people there, surprisingly. I just wish you could get more than Screams and Dreams, Superman, and Condor. (at least give them 2 roller coasters) Plus, the time was very early, but they had to do it in time with Dance Friday.

A couple of my friends and I went, and I can tell you it was definitely worth it. We got there at 6:20, waited at the main enterance, they let us in at 6:30. We all veared to the left side of Columbia, and waited for a while, with various bursts of cheering and waving whenever the camera came by us. Then about 30 minutes later, they had 3/4 of us stand up on the concrete stage area infront of the carousel and the other quarter went on the top level. When the music started, we danced (We couldn't really har the music though.) Then, we waited in line for free breakfast (consitsting of various doughnuts, muffins, and pastries, as well as juices and coffees.) We ate in the outside waiting area at the Pictorium. We went in after we were done and watched the show. One thing I noticed new about S&D is that the narrator is new. It isn't the man's voice from earlier in the year, it was the woman's voice from all around the park. (You know "Ladies and Gentlemen, may I have your attention please. Lost and separated parties...") Then around 8:00, we went to Orleans Place and re-rode Superman 14 times. Then we had to leave out the exit, in order to come back in, 15 minutes later. There was only about 60-70 people (a lot had/were children, so they just stuck to Condor) Overall. It was a great day. I Just got home now. Today we also went on Ragin Cajun, Iron Wolf(PAINFUL/never going on again even though its leaving), and AE Backwards Blue.
Sounds like this was a decent event if you don't have to drive too far and had the time to do it. I'm not sure if I would have gone even if I was able to since I live about an hour and a half south of the park.
I was there, I just stood out of the way as to not make it on camera which was pretty successful. Overall it was fun, breakfast was pretty horrible, but it didn't cost anything so I guess it filled the need (for anyone who was brave enough not to toss the food after the first bite), Screams and Dreams is pretty good, after that we had alittle short of an hour to ride the rides, took 4-5 rides on Superman before I got bored with it. It's a lot rougher than I remember it, annoyingly so in parts, then took a ride on Condor and called it a day and sat around until it was over. There were probably about 60-70 people there overall and maybe 30-40 actually rode the rides, so you could reride as much as you wanted to on Superman/Condor.
For being free, it was a pretty good morning. Rest of the day the park wasn't all that busy, 20-30 min lines all around on average
