Thinking about going Wednesday....If from up in northern Wisconsin So im wondering if the crowds will be lighter this week or are people still waiting until the last minute to redeem their passes. If there are some locals who could let me know, that would be great.
I can't guarantee it will be the same this year, but last year the week after Read to Succeed ended was completely dead with all waits under 10 minutes, except Eagle because Blue was closed.
Not to put a damper on your theories or anything...
According to the FB page
Hey Parents – if your child has a Read to Succeed ticket that expired today, we are extending the deadline and accepting all Read to Succeed tickets through August 14. If your child hasn’t had a chance to use their free ticket yet, come on out!
^Yeah, but you have to realize that most people probably don't look at SFGAm facebook page, and most people probably used them already. If you didn't use it, you probably weren't going to go anyway. Though, the American Eagle is going backwards in which they emailed people about it, and Miranda Cosgrove is Tuesday.

I'm in the Cyber Cafe now. It is packed. Eagle line is to the entrance, Demon line is to the entrance only running 2 trains due to issues with Stride train. Viper is full, Bull is using both queue blocks, Batman is full except the overflow queues, and Whizzer has 3 out of 5 queues filled.
It turns out Read to Succeed was never supposed to be over yesterday. The Illinois tickets were scheduled to expire yesterday, but the Wisconsin tickets were already valid through the 14th.
Today was a weird day for the park, crowds got big and small randomly and the rain closed a lot of rides later on. With the Eagle "opening" backwards today that also brought in some more people to the park. Eagle amazingly reached the entrance today and bull used 1 and a half of the queue houses.
im sure tomorrow will be crazy because of the miranda cosgrove concert.......... What about Wednesday? Forecast is calling for 75 and sunny. I think that might keep people out of the waterpark. Due to the two big things today and tomorrow( opening day of american eagle, and the concert tomorrow)do you think Wednesday might have some lighter crowds?

Another dissapoint that day was revolution. We were about to get on the ride when...suprise suprise...it breaks down. Also another one was the whizzer. It closed down in the rain, and it didn't open the rest of the day. We still managed to get a lot of rides done right? Let me think...
Overall 8/8 was a good day!
Xlight total rides: 50 times and in every row except front row left wing.

I was ticked Eagle was totally down at open yesterday. We got there at open, second in line, just to get the backwards ride in before heading to HH only to be told they didn't know when Eagle would open, and they didn't know which side would be running when it opened. The op said they needed carpentry workers, but they were AWOL. The contest winner to get the "first ride" (which wasn't true anyway) showed up and had to be told to come back later. You'd think having it up and running would have been top priority for the day.
We got on it in the afternoon after a 1/2 hour wait, which wasn't bad.
Eagle (at least the years I worked there) always tended to be the ride that maintenance fooled around with forever and a day up until like 9:30am! (and I was there before the 11am opening procedure for County Fair). It's an easy track walk (but long) and they'd "give" you a side, but then change their mind, or they'd leave without removing their tag outs/lock outs, they'd leave the maintenance enable down, or they'd sign it over to the leads but forget their signature on the checklists and you're not allowed to continue with AM's that pertain to anything ride related unless it was all signed off. Then, would casually walk back up to amend the situation with a "oops....you'll get everything done in 10 minutes" look on their face.
^They probably fooled around with it because it's in the back of the park, and it isn't as high of a priority at opening like Raging Bull, Viper, or Superman which are located not at the back.

^Yes, but as rides management....you were still scolded at if you did not have the AM's completed at 10am (or park opening time) regardless of where the ride is located in the park.
