Is someone asking for AE to be redone just like Texas Giant?? Like actually re-do the entire ride from top to bottom?? Wouldnt that be hard...considering the highway is next to AE?? I think its an insane project to re-do eagle. Ur talking crazy. Its like taking down the sears tower and building it from scratch again.

Well thanks for crushing my spirits! I know its crazy, but somehow, I believe its possible
Xlight total rides: 50 times and in every row except front row left wing.

Anything's possible, but AE just doesn't need a $10 million renovation. They could build a new GCI woody for that much. Eagle is just fine for 30.
Texas Giant was WAY rougher than American Eagle and it needed it, Eagle rides like a Cadillac compared to those Dinn coasters from that era. Granted I haven't ridden Eagle in a few years, but it's never really been bone rattling rough like many other large wooden coasters.
Anyone who thinks Eagle is too rough lets put on Son of Beast, Mean Streak, Cyclone at SFNE (before the topper track), Hurler KD/Thunder Run SFKK, Rattler at SFFT. Those rides beat the living hell out of you and almost turned off parks from building wooden coasters for good. If it weren't for companies like GCI, Gravity Group, and Intamin re-defining the wooden coaster design there probably would be very few to no new wooden coasters ever being built.

American Eagle is the crown jewel of our park in my opinion. American Eagle is the longest, tallest, and fastest racing coaster in the world, but yet its somwhat underated...in my opinnion

Its funny that most of the coasters you listed are either Dinn and Summers (MS Hurler and Thunder Run) or Roller Coaster Corporation of America (SOB Rattler) American Eagle is not rough at all its fun and enjoyable
Eagle isnt that rough, but does need some re tracking.... Why ruin a good thing. I would rather see a new coaster and have them maintain eagle as is than topper track eagle
What i see is a future for the entire back side of the park. Eagle getting redone, and a new Eurofighter/Zach Spin type ride when Iron Wolf leaves (Im saying it's leaving cause from all the evidence thats shown up, its clear its going) and a WHOLE new area. Cause County fair is HUGE. They have some room to make an ENTIRE new area back there

YES!! Completely underrated!! Yes of course its possible to re-do AE to look like texas giant, but wouldn't it be easier to just build a replica and take AE down? Yeah there no way they will ever change AE's track. Plus that water lagoon under the spiral would just get too messy for the workers. AE is a staple at the park. I honestly cannot see them take it out ever...at least not in our lifetime.
FYI, Eagle just got new trains about a few years ago so the trains are not old! The roughness of the ride is what makes it a classic and it's typical for a wooden ride!

Thanks for agreeing with me about the underrated part! Also if I ever see American Eagle leave the park and it close for good...I would probably never go back to SFGAm...ever. The eagle is SFGAm's baby. It always will be for the rest of SFGAm's park life.
I can honestly say I like the Eagle better than the Bull.

I totally agree that if you think American Eagle is really rough for a wooden coaster, you need to get on some other wooden coasters pronto. Texas Giant when I went on it, it was about the worst coaster I've ever been on. Mean Streak was nothing to me (boring but nothing), and Viper and American Eagle are very, very tame coasters compared to Texas Giant. The old Texas Giant was one pile of garbage. So, I understand the reason they wanted to change it.
And for the Son of Beast, that ride after they put on the new trains I went on it, and that ride is really nothing. It wasn't really painful, but it just looked like it would have been a lot better. Beast is way rougher to me compared to Son of Beast, American Eagle, Viper, and Mean Streak. And the further back you sit, the more you feel it.
At that Geauga Lake though, they had a terrible wooden coaster called the Villain. That was bad!I think that Raging Wolf Bobs was bad too. Villain was destroyed, and I don't know about Raging Wolf Bobs.
For the Texas Giant rebuild, what they did is that it took a year to build the ride. To me, I think Shapiro did something like that though because he wanted to save money on a new project for the 2010 season.

Besides the roughness factor its all but officially confirmed. Train set up and the first clue some words are in county fair. its back and blue, most park fans boys know that it means, blue backwards is back. Nothing offical but its all adding up to it. Edit- Also looking closer at the clue on the line where it says blue, you can see scribbled out were its says colors: Blue Red White
God bless NIU Next SFGAm trip: Today May 1st SFGAm '10 ride count-53
Then why does the spoiler say -cute7, social media on air and web promotion??? Serioisly were losing wolf here, why would eagle backwords somehow trump that? They would break good news after bad news.... Not the other way around... Look kids we have eagle running backwords for fright fest. Then sorry guys iron wolf is closing

I think the Wolf going, if announced, would be announced the same time as the new ride for the reason you said. I don't know what the heck this announcement is going to be anymore. It's messing with my mind.
I think its nice that Backwards Blue is back, but I really don't get the timing here. As many of you may know, the Read To Succeed tickets expire August 7th, and in the days leading up to that date, the park will be absolutely packed. Not a time I would choose to have Blue side closed or open running only one train while maintenance turns cars around and moves brake fins and chain dogs.

The problem is, whenever I try to explain to the GP on Facebook how it's impossible for us to get "Shockwave" or any other idiodic thing there claiming, there just way to full of themselves, thinking there right, and everyone else is wrong. And did you notice the sudden backlash from the GP on the idea that Iron Wolf is leaving? I swear just a few months ago they were talking about why that ride needs to go... God bless there souls...
