I rode Iron Wolf about 30 times last year (including a few marathons) and I can confidently say that the front two rows are my only safe zone. I actually enjoy Wolf when in 1 or 2, but anywhere further back is just not fun.

Raging Bull- back row for the airtime, front row for the view of the climb and the first drop
Viper/Eagle- both of them towards the back for the most airtime, the front row on Eagle for the pause before the big first drop
Whizzer- The front seat feels like you're riding your own personal bobsled! Love it!
Demon- Try the back- I used to think it would be too rough, but it's not bad at all, and the first drop is awesome. Also, I think since most of the train is already in the transition on the corkscrews, I think they are much smoother riding in the back. BTW, another tip is to put your head out forward as far as you can on the corkscrews, and 'move" your head with the motion of the train. I haven't banged my head at all the last several times I rode Demon doing this, and the ride was very enjoyable! By the way, I tried this trick on the Iron Wolf and I still hurt my head and felt sick afterwards.
Batman- Front row by far- You can't really see where you're going sitting anywhere else, which is really important if you're prone to motion sickness, plus the view is better!
V2- Last row to go up the highest on the back spike, which might give you a little bit of a freefall feeling going back down, not to mention being that high up, looking straight down at the ground. The front seat is good for the take-off and a close up view of the twisted dead end. I think any other row on V2 is mediocre, and not worth the wait in line, in my opinion.
Superman- doesn't really matter, since everybody has the same view looking down, but if you're scared of heights, the front row might feel a little scarier on the climb, with nothing in front of you or below you!
Dark Knight- doesn't matter, there's only 2 rows and four seats per car
Raging Cajun- not sure, I heard that if you want alot of spin, have the heavier folks sit on one side, though
Litlle Dipper- I guess the back seat for that tiny bit of airtime on the first drop, but it doesn't really matter too much, I guess
Personally for me, the back is where I preferably like to sit on most coasters only because its where I feel less sick. I can't really ride Batman, Superman, Iron Wolf, etc any coaster where you are not sitting or any coaster where the track is not under you. Although V2 I prefer the front, only when you go backwards and then come back down face first it feels like your gonna crash into the water because you're going straight down! I wish my stomach or ears weren't sensitive. Ugh!!!
Terror Twister 2 is awesome during Frightfest!!! For those who have been on the orbit and revolutions does that make you feel sick? I have been on revolutions once and that one time, it got me sick for a good 2 hours. I had to sit out while my friends rode other stuff, also I've never been on the orbit, but Im almost positive that, that ride will make me sick, real real sick. Boooo!!! (I wish there was a barf Smilie)
I have not ridden most of the spinning rides at Great America but I can remember having trouble with The Orbit many years ago and never want to try it again.
As for roller coasters since I do not get to go that often, I like to try and get as many rides in as possible, so I tend to sit in whatever is the shortest line.

If you ever wanna dabble with Revolution, DON'T do it on a slow day. I don't get motion sick, like, ever. I've been on boats, spun the hell out of Chubasco, and done every little motion sickness test one can think of with no results. But on Revo, I just don't feel "right". Shortly after opening day last year we had a day where MAYBE a thousand people were in the park. We got on and the ops waited for a full load before sending us on our way. After one cycle, there still wasn't a single person in line so the op yelled "everyone wanna ride again" to which everyone but me and my buddy replied yes. The restraints didn't even open up and we were dispatched for another ride. That hour was ruined for me, but I got over it. If you've got this inner ear sensitivity, I'd avoid it at all costs.
I would really like to know how to take care of my inner ear sensitivity situation. Ive taken Dramamine but that didn't work for me in all honestly. Any other suggestions people. Ive also focused on the track instead of closing my eyes because I know that closing your eyes actually makes the feeling worse, but focusing on the track also made me sick. I don't know what else to do. I guess I'll have to only ride the coasters/rides that don't make me sick. The smell of metal also makes me sick so I think thats what also makes me feel real sick.
AsRealAsItGets wrote:^Just a quick question for you. How are you into coasters if you can't ride half of them? lol
lol. I still question myself sometimes why I even get a season pass if I'm sensitive to coasters. In all honesty, I think that I think about getting sick too much and it gets to me. That or my stomach is changing? IDK lol. Back in 2009 I could ride almost everything no prob but then as of last year, rides and coasters have been affecting me making me a bit sick. Also its something different to do because there is nothing to do around where I live unfortunately. I just ride the coasters that for sure do not make me sick which are: AE, Raging Bull, Ragin Cajun, any of the water rides, V2, Demon, and Viper. The sharp turns on TDK are too much, the speed and twists and turns for Batman and Superman are too much, and Iron wolf's headbanging and uncomfortable male position is bad too. I go too just because my friends wanna go to the park. Funnel cakes are the sh*t too. In reality I can ride most, theres just those few exceptions that I cannot ride which on occasion my friends peer pressure me to get on but later regret getting on. I also rode King Chaos for the first time during Frightfest last year, and even that wasn't as bad as IW or Superman. I thought I was gonna puke afterwards.

I have felt a tad bit dizzy on Ragin Cajun', but it only lasts a those few seconds getting off the coaster. After walking for a minute I'm perfectly 100% back to normal. The Dips on that ride are awesome!!
