Where Are You Going to in 2011

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
Postby BLADE on March 23rd, 2011, 6:09 pm
Not for me. I drove by the entrance to Disneyland this past weekend and kept right on going. I only plan on going there after California Adventure is finished, so 2012 is the earliest for me. For now, I can do without the crowds, strollers, elderly, and high gate prices.

It talks about their light up show and how it beat our Glow in the dark parade

While there are plenty of reasons to go to WDW, World of Color is not there :)
To me these types of polls are meaningless, World of Color cost over $75,000,000 to design and build I would be very concerned if it did not turn out to be better than the Glow in the Park Parade.

Besides SFGAm, this is all I know of right now:

SFSTL

*Hoping* for another trip to SFGAdv this year, but chances are low.

Updates for my list also.... I figured that SFOG, Lake Winnie, Alabama Adventure and Beech Bend are all on the way to Holiday World for HWN, so add those onto my list. And, yes, I take the long route to HW from Chicago :D

Maybe a few others internationally, I wont be getting a SF or CF season pass next year, so wont be doing much locally or domestically. Also doing 3-4 fairs in Europe, which I think they count as more than a park as they are generally far larger than most parks :)

^If you're going to be near GAdv and Hershey, why don't you come up to Lake Compounce and SFNE?

Limited amount of days on trip. We only have about 3 weeks in between my summer school and school in the fall. So we'll probably only have about 3-4 "coaster days" on our trip. Might not even get to Hershey, and I wanna hit GADV, BGE, and KD for sure. I'll probably save those handful of other parks + SFNE and Hershey for next year.

Thanks to over running way over my budget at Spring Training and cost of gas to Minor League games this year, my trips are all gone minus maybe Wild Adventures and 1st visit to Fun Spot USA (It's HUGE) later today. Although living next to 8 parks with Legoland opening in the fall makes it something I can live with.

Just found out I might be heading to Niagara falls over the summer.

Everybody loves Marineland!

Others include:
-SFGAm
-Annual Cedar Point Trip
-Hershey Park?
-Kennywood?
-Knoebels?

Not a lot but possibly a few firsts.

Could it be possible to take a train to any other theme park nearby from Chicago? Like SFSTL or is there a closer theme park? I definitely cant and dont wanna drive.
