It's time for Me to Reply to you in tonights "Breakdown"

FParker185 wrote:Though if you really look into the matter no one since Marriott really took the themed areas into any consideration, Shockwave, Batman/Gotham City. Iron Wolf, Superman, Dark Knight, Roaring Rapids, Power Dive, etc are/were all out of place in their themed areas.
Not all of Marriott Attractions area themed: Remember? - Haybaler - Demon - The Edge - Pictorium - Whitewater Rampage - Sky Trek Tower - Buzzy Bee
^Even if not are all area themed *You could easily argue Demon and Pictorium are) there is no attempt anymore to fit a theme. Sure Southwest Territory and Mardi Gras are well done, they were domed from the start with things already there. Headline rides are out of place to a laughable level. At least when Universal Studios plopped Harry Potter into IOA they put it in the mythical part of the park. Had it been Six Flags, it would have been placed in Toon Lagoon with ads for M&M's everywhere.
Kingda Ka was one of the last rides done by Burke/Story and they knew they were on their way out and that was their attempt to start turning the company around in a last ditch effort not to be over thown by the stock holders and kicked out, there are dozens of other rides they added around the chain with no themeing what so ever.
Also for SFGAm, County Fair is themed after a county fair or Carnival, where every ride has a theme but as a whole there is nothing cohesive happening, so anything works in County Fair. Sky Trek and Pictorium are in Carousel Plaza which also has no theme, other than being a nice entry area for the park, so anything that's not a carousel is out of place in Carousel Plaza, but at least both Pictorium and Sky Trek were tastefully done.
For the rest, I'd have to guess that as time went on Marriott really just stopped caring as they knew they were going to divest the parks.

Does the company "Six Flags" even have the phrase "Theme Park" attached to the name? I remember they used to be called Six Flags Theme Parks. But now it's just Six Flags Parks? Please correct me if im wrong.
You now...honestly I'm not really annoyed at all that we aren't getting a new coaster soon.

Looking at the past decade I think the park has had many attractions added to it. I'm sure we can wait our turn. IDK why all these people are complaining about our turn to get a new coaster. Im sure other parks have been waiting longer than we have for a major coaster. Honestly I can wait a few more years for a new coaster. Plus, didn't the company just emerge out of bankruptcy last year?? Its gonna take a while for Six Flags to get back on its feet. I don't mind the water park expansion as opposed to a new coaster. I'm satisfied where our park stands at the current point in time.

People are inherently selfish and logic among the 12-18 crowd is rare. If they built 3 new coaster every year, the same group would ask "where's our 4th coaster this year" every single time.

Excuse me, but I am in that range. I think that in the past decade we have gotten 2 or 3 good THRILLING rides. I'm sorry but I find the Dark Knight actually hurts. Especially on turns! It has horrible capacity and it does not cut down the lines to other rides. It just attracts a bigger crowd. S: UF is another ride that does not cut down ride lines. Instead it attracts more people. Plus, when it breaks down, it breaks down for a LONG time. As for V2, I havn't a terrible amount of complaints. It is, however, a ride that doesn't have the best capacity around seeing as it has 1 train.
Also, I would NOT complain if we didn't get another coaster after 3. Maybe some people would, but I find 3 to be a ridiculous number. The only reason I am complaining overall is that SFGADV (as we have discussed in the past) just got the tallest roller coaster in the world, and fastest at the time, 5 years ago. Then they go and get another that replaced a ride that could have lasted a few more years. At least give it to a park that needs it (SFNE, SFA, SFM, SFLR).
Logic enough?

I'm not sure if you worded that wrong or if you're being serious? I'm pretty sure attracting more people the whole point of adding a new ride, correct me if i'm wrong .

The droves of people coming through the gates disagree with the lack of good new rides. You may not love The Dark Knight, but other find it thrilling and love it. And attracting more people is the name of the game.

An arrow that was not only not popular but a maintenance night nightmare was replaced by a used ride from 1997. With it being a very popular park, they could not deal without a major ride to replace the major one being removed. Of the parks you listed each has gotten a new (or new to them) coaster in the last 2 years. Even if it is a wild mouse, it's a new coaster people enjoy or companies would not buy them.
^Duh attracting people is what its all about. But you left out the major part of the post. Its not citting down other ride lines.
I'm glad you like Dark Knight, however that was my reasoning not yours. Had it been you, you could have said whatever you like about it. I personally don't like it so that's what I said.

I know our park will definitely NOT get Kingda Ka. Just kinda putting it out there incase anyone starts a new chain of replies stating whether we are or aren't getting Kingda Ka. You don't have to research it. Its kind of obvious.

If one was to expect something, expect a Zacspin. Plus Kingda Ka defies the Gurnee height restriction by a very big amount...

Where in my post did I say we were getting it? That can't happen anyway because Great America cannot build anything taller than Sky Trek Tower.

^ As do most Intamin's but, And we've had this conversation before, I think your right on the money when you say V2 is probably one of the most reliable Intamin's out there.
