^ Just by looking at this video, I have a very strong feeling this will be the "Big Coaster" for 2011. This coaster looks freakin awsome!

That looks amazing! It looks really smooth and it looks like it should have a lot of air time.

Six Flags Over Texas has already been callin "the next best rollercoaster in the world"... the new Texas Giant is def at the top on my list of 2011 attractions. I sadly thought before it was announced, itd be Cheetah Hunt, but no.

It does but it doesnt... I know it will fly with the added cars due to weight(obv). & let me tell ya...when Im there in May, Im sittin in the back row for that near 80degrees!!

It should go the same speed with a full train vs. the 2 cars. It will be moving faster towards the end of the ride though with a full train, unless of course they crank up the midcourse brakes.

^How does that make any sense? It should go the same speed then faster towards the end? You're contradicting your previous statement....

It makes sense if you have even a basic understanding of physics.

A full train has more mass, so it will maintain it's speed longer, so later in the ride a full train will have a higher speed than the 2 car train.

Lets say you had 2 ping pong balls but one was filled with lead, and you rolled them at the same speed..Which one would roll further?

Kind of the same difference as a empty train and a train full of riders, in both cases the Top Speed of the ride will be identical, but due to the increase in weight/mass a full train finishes a circuit faster.

Physics are fun, you're going to have to take my word on that :D

ummm, if a train full of riders finished the circuit faster, it must have been going at a higher speed. Rollercoasters don't work the same way as taking a shortcut on a road going the same speed....unless you opened a time warp hole.

Apparently you have never heard of the word momentum Goku. It's definition out of the dictionary is "force with which a body moves, the product of it's mass and it's velocity." An easier way to explain what FParker is saying is that a heavier object will hold it's speed longer. It will lose less speed over it's
course, thereby completing it in less time.

It's a hard concept to explain as I have no formal schooling in the matter, but Blade has it. A lighter object looses speed faster than a heavier object when friction is a constant. So at the onset, 2 coaster trains may be both going at 65 miles an hour, one full, one empty, the empty one is going to slow down faster than the full heavier train, leaving the full train going faster than the empty one further down the track.

Think about it in terms of which would be harder to stop a shopping cart or a cart filled with steaks. Obviously the loaded on would be harder to stop and the same principle applies to the coaster. Friction (and other forces for that matter) from a loaded train and an empty train is going to be relatively constant. Therefore, the more people there are on the train the harder it is for friction and other forces to stop making it complete the course faster. So top speed may be the same, however the average speed of the train will indeed be faster if the train is loaded.

This isn't a new project for 2011 but word is that SFNE's former Thomas Town will close down completley for a brand new future project possibly for 2012? Anyone know more?

okay....can you link the post? I don't see anything regarding KIDZOPOLIS or Thomas Town being used for future expansion.

this seems to be a big deal to you:D

The good news is that it's up there and pretty simple to find on your own, but just in case, here's a hint, it's a response to someone else, not something SFNE originally posted.

not really, it's just that I don't see your credibility. You got to have proof behind your statement.

I was on the Facebook page and checked every post up to December 30th. I found no posts or comments from SFNE regarding Thomas Town. Nothing but people blabbing on rumors about Thomas Town.

So don't be calling me lazy, I went to your supposed "source".
