We obviously all know about what it's like to ride American Eagle backward, although I still think it's a much better ride the other way, but what other rides at SFGA would you like to try backward if you had the chance?
S: UF --Pretzel would be cool, but I think that's about it.
Raging Bull--The first drop and some of the steep banking could prove interesting.
Viper--Might be fun be could cause whiplash with all of the sudden drops and banking.
V2--That might be pretty cool, especially dangling when you lock in on the tower the last time.......
Batman--That would be seriously insane to take that kind of speed and inversion action backwards.
Iron Wolf--It would probably hurt, but how much worse could it be than it already is?
What are your thoughts? Of course, many of these rides could probably never operate backward because of the strain that it would put on your body, but it's still kind of cool to think about.
I'm gonna twist ya, and I'm gonna flip ya. Every time you squeal, I'm just gonna go faster and harder.
V2 would be compleatly runined, in my opinion. First, the launch. It's supposed to be powerful (yeah right ) and really throw you back in your seat. Throwing your car in reverse and hitting the gas isnt fun, it's just stupid. Second, the front spike. The spinning is supposed to disorientate you and make the top seem closer than it allready is. I have not ridden Wicked Twister so I don't know how a spiral spike backwards would be. Finally and most important is the holding brake. It is there purely for suspense. Think about sitting on the edge of your seate stareing straight down into a pool and walkway for what seems to be an eternity. Nobody wants to stare at a boring sky and sit back in their seat. Too much like most lift hills. Airtime might be a little bit better as you could not see when the ride starts to pull horizontal. All my opinion though (from the V2 master! )
Yeah, V2 would be pretty pointless. Aside from the weak launch Aero mentioned (My car launches faster than V2 I believe... 0-60 in 4.6 VS. 0-40 in maybe 4 seconds) the holding brake would be ruined. I like V2 more than Wicked Twister personally, so I guess that's the reason why. Raging Bull, jesus christ could you imagine the first drop in the front row... yikes.
I'd ride anything backwards, that's part of the reason I like Deja Vu, however having RB & BTR backwards would be pretty intense and would probley make the lines longer.
i think that S:UF and RB would be cool backwards Wicked Twister to me is a lot slower than V2 cause you have the longer towers and you don't get as much speed on it.
Isn't wicked twister faster (70-75mph?) I know for sure that the towers are taller and they had to add new support bracing because of stress from the higher launch speeds.
Edit: I just saw the "to me wicked twister is a lot slower". So it's opinion.
wait...i heard they had to lower the speed on WT because of the taller towers and extra supports they needed to put on it so it would get stress fractures...im confused.

Yep, they did. That's why the acceleration feels like it's hesitating. Don't be confused, you're dead on!
Wicked Twister's spike works on that ride because it's like... lake/park/lake/park all in a split second, amazing visual. I still perfer V2's back spike, just because of the insane inverted float. I totally agree, the stare into the pond is niiiiice. Well, it's not so nice when you're running the ride, and see people looking for jewelry in it.
