In my opinion this and the famous Boise State blue turf should not be allowed by the NCAA: it is a major advantage for the home team because of how distracting it is and will make it nauseating to watch a game on. People trying to show off their artistic abilities belongs somewhere else, not on a basketball court design or football field. Your thoughts?

Plus the fact that it is Oregon doing this makes it that much worse as this is the school with quite possibly the worst football uniforms ever

While it can be distracting and maybe cause headaches, I think that this could revolutionize fields and stadiums we know today. I always thought it be cool to have red turf at Camp Randall. While im sure more of the historic schools would keep it classic, this could be a major step for sports. (By the way, the oregon court looks awesome!)

It should not be allowed. While there at it, college sports should not be allowed on a whole.

College Football>NFL

College Basketball>NBA

College Hockey>NHL

Pro sports are a joke. The closest thing to "good" is the NHL.

I can understand where he is coming from, most of the athletes at D1 schools (for big money sports like football and basketball) are not there to be students they are recruited to be athletes, But at the same time watching college football is great because they are not as afraid to get their players injured unlike the NFL. Many colleges still run the option offense which no one has the balls to do in the NFL because of how much the players get paid. But I disagree that those sports are superior in college as the talent and athleticism at the pro level is far superior, I still enjoy watching both either way though. What I hate watching is a game played on a freakin blue field!!

^You are dead right on the D1 athletes part. I do enjoy the blue field though.

I don't see a problem with a blue filled, or whatever color they want to make it. Fans are more distracting to another team in my opinion than what's on a field like the Eagle symbol.

I think all the fields should be standardized. A home field advantage should only be so much. If I have to go into a blue stadium and blay a team wearing blue there are obviously certain disadvantages. On the court with a bizarre looking court it may be hard to know where you are on the court without actually looking down to find out. My opinion is outside the lines do whatever you want. Inside the stripes standardize things.

The blue field rocks, just I don't watch their games as they aren't a Big Ten or SEC team, only conferences worth watching in my opinion. But that court is awful and should never be allowed, at least a solid base color.
