Fright Fest 10/8

Let us know how your day at the park was.

So, frightfest was a blast. Lines weren't bad at 15-20 minutes max. We hit in order: Demon, Demon, Raging Bull, Viper, Giant Drop, Condor, Superman, V2, American Eagle, Giant Drop, Viper, Demon, Raging Bull.

I couldn't ride Drop or V2 thanks to my nice gut - but everything else was a blast.

We kept our sunglasses on all day - mainly not to lose or break them, and let me tell you - Sunglasses at night on Superman, Eagle, Viper, Demon, and Bull - INCREDIBLE. Viper and Demon were almost like being completely blind. Even if you know where the track is going it still feels like you have no idea what's next. We rode Eagle front row with the shades on, and the other 3 all the way in the back. There's really no other way to do them.

The scare-actors were ok at best. Some of them looked like they were having a good time and really getting into it. The Werewolves were definitely the best of the bunch. I really miss the Trolls, though. Also, the black water in the pond doesnt look anywhere near as impressive as the red water used to.

I cant touch on the haunted houses, we didnt check them out. Lots of decorations all over the park though. It looked good. Like others have said though, Fog would add to the element - and what happened to the creepy halloween music?

It was still a fun time, and I enjoy Fright Fest over a regular day at the park anytime.

The dye is red it just looks black, JPM owns the rights to the trolls so no. If you ask me there were more scareactors this year than there has been in years. In Necropolis I saw like 8 while in there for 10 minutes, and then another 7 heading in there when we were walking out, though some of those could have been for the Mausoleum. The only ride that had a line more than 20 minutes was V2 last night which I skipped because of that.

Why do you think the crowds were so light? The weather was great yesterday and considering it was a Friday night I would have expected the park to be packed.

Fridays are usually never crowded during Fright Fest because the park is only open for 6 hours and people don't want to pay for that short of a time.
