F these people too. There is NO reason a wooden coaster should get money for charities EVER.

Whoa, relax.

This isn't a charity. It's a grant program from Pepsi.

Pepsi accepted it because moving the coaster to Pier Park will help with the economy and create some jobs in an area affected by the oil spill.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Kind of like the coaster did in 2004..oh wait, the same coaster did nothing to the park when it was there before. Same as the coaster did nothing to help Cypress Gardens. The fact that there will be charities that need money loosing out to this insanity blows my mind. Once again, much like the Blue Streak, this shows how shallow and pathetic enthusiast are.

Nice try playing the enthusiast card.

If you have a beef with this, contact Pepsi. They accepted the owner of the park's submission for this. It's not like Pepsi just lets anyone get in on this. Once again, it isn't a charity. If Pepsi is willing to fund 250k for this project if it places first, then so be it.

You act like a church is creating a fundraiser to promote this.

Don't make it out like Starliner had no bearing on Miracle Strip. That coaster was there for decades. The previous owners decided to sell the park to condo developers because the money was to good to pass up.

Starliner at CG would still be operating if it fit in with Legoland's vision, but unfortunately it doesn't. They have a demographic for these parks where Starliner is to high thrill for the kiddies.

Once again, this is an area affected by the oil spill. If this coaster creates a few jobs and boosts tax revenue in the area, then it is a good thing.

I see where you are coming from, but it doesn't fit this program.
