This isnt a big problem for me, as i usually only visit SFGAm, but i would love to travel around and go to all the SF. I can see though for a person who visits many SF parks regularly, would have to scavenge some extra money each time they would visit a park. I cant wait to see the out cry of hate post's here... jk
Nothing says value like taking away a pass perk used by a ultra same few. I was planning on getting a SP with parking next year for convenience when travel, but they just cost themselves money doing this.
This is probably meant to deter the people that go to Six Flags St. Louis (that visit regularly Six Flags Great America) or Six Flags America (for Great Adventure) and for something like SFGAm, how much money you would save if you got a parking pass at St Louis instead of Great America's pass, so I see why they are doing it.

Wow. Disappointing. I've used my season pass for SFGAm, SFStl, SFNE, SFAm, SFGAdv, SFMM, & SFOG. I liked bein able to visit other parks knowin I could get in free to use that money on food/souvenirs.
The crazy thing about this is - I seriously doubt this is going to make much of an impact on SF's bottom line. Do THAT many six flags season passholders really visit more than their local SF park every year? I seriously doubt it. By disallowing a parking pass to be used at all SF parks, is SF really going to be making gobs more money? Doubtful. So why do it - other than to make a small percentage of your season passholders mad?
Plus, as you're now getting less value for a parking pass, why hasn't the parking pass price gone down? SFGAm's is $70 - is that less than it was last year? If so, shouldn't it be, as you're not getting the value from it that you used to?
Also, while it does mention "not valid at all SF parks" on the SFGAm season pass page in regards to parking passes, does it say that anywhere when you actually buy a parking pass? I went through the motions of buying one (but didn't finish), but nowhere did it mention that the parking pass I was buying was only valid at the park I'm buying it from. IF they don't mention that anywhere while checking out, that's really bad (again, I didn't complete the transaction so maybe it said it on the last page or 2nd to last page..but I didn't see it for as far as I went through the checkout proces *shrugs*).
Do they have the parking price for NEXT year? If so, how much is it?

Webber has in my opinion made 2 smart additions already. Investing in the a Euro-Fighter, and hopefully there are more, and Chang NOT going to Great America. Sure, I think the mouse should have went to SFOG instead of SFNE, but oh well.
What are Shapiro's greatest attractions for 4 years considering all the parks combined?

Do you realize that he has turned around Six Flags from a Belly Up sh*t hole company to a very presentable theme park company? I have a feeling that these new attractions are already a start to a very slippery slope.
As far as the whole park pass issue. This is how I would do it.
Season Pass: $65 (or whatever it is) Season Parking (for that park): $40 All SF parking: $75
If you go to a lot of SFs park often it would still be worth it. Especially if you want to visit another Six Flags park multiple times like I usually do for SFMM and SFStl in the spring and fall. After the last two years I have had a more extreme liking for Six Flags and a even more extreme hatred for Cedar Fair. I think that Cedar Fair is the Walmart of the theme park industry. I hope I don't have the same feeling about Six Flags in the future.
I love how my comment got deleted! It was saying that Shapiro was going to run the company into the ground faster than Burke would. Anyways...

Dare Devil Dive was a Shapiro addition actually, not Weber's believe it or not. It made it through Weber's wild cuts. I bet there will be more in the future, but for 2011 who knows? I doubt it. And I'm actually content with the mouse. We would have had it in that spot anyways if Shapiro had his ways. Weber knows that and he's smart. He can just add a euro-fighter in a couple years to Shipwreck Falls spot.
As for the parking passes, I heard its just the free ones that you get will only be able to be used at the one park. After Oct. 31, if you buy a parking pass it can be used anywhere. I think I read that on one of the Facebook pages.

Six Flags still filed for bankruptcy. Shapiro, and Synder couldn't save Six Flags from becoming debt free. How many people on this board complain about the on-slaughter of advertisements everywhere. People also complain about rides that have their "theme" taken away from them because they have trains with ads on them. As people have said before, when you go to a theme park, you want to escape the outside world, and not be hear or see ads thrown at you left and right. Presentable?? At Six Flags, I feel so sorry that the employees have to wear neon green, and the security has to wear neon green hats. It's like a joke with the clothes they have to wear. It's not respectable to those people that work there. You go to any business, and they are wearing things that look nice, but at Six Flags, it's just you feel so sorry for them that everyday they have to work, they have wear that color of a shirt.
It's really just Chang, and how people didn't get Chang that now all of a sudden loved Shapiro when the whole time we had him, it was complaint after complaint after complaint about him, and the rides he built. And having a season pass price at $65, is the cheapest season pass you can't get anywhere. We are really lucky that Six Flags hasn't been smart enough to raise the price for the season pass. You go to Raging Waves which is just a waterpark, and they have season passes for $110 if you buy it for 3 people, and for individual it's $129. For this year, Holiday World has there season pass for only $150. Darien Lake which was once a Six Flags park, and not as built up with better rides like we are is $85. And on top of it, our Six Flags pass gets us to any other Six Flags park.
The ticket price without a discount online is $57, and if you buy 4 season passes, it's $60, so does that really make sense for a SEASON pass to be almost the same price as one day non-discounted admission. I do think that $57 is a bit high though for a one-day admission (I do think without discount it should something like $50 and with discount maybe $44 or something like that.) though without the cheaper $35 deal they have now, but still $60 is really way too cheap to get a half of year of keep on coming and riding rides tons of time.
