Last year's Tournament of Thrills was a ton of fun for us. And with an online vote of over 85,000, it looks like it was a ton of fun for you guys too. Now with all the excitement around the World Cup, it's the perfect time to bring her back for a second round. Even better than the World Cup, this tournament won't have to deal with any suspicious ref calls (yeah I'm talking to you, Koman Coulibaly).
First let's recap what the Tournament of Thrills is exactly. Ya know those NCAA March Madness brackets I make every year? The ones where I make really bold picks, act like I know what I'm talking about, then later get made a fool of? Well imagine that same bracket but instead of college basketball teams, it's Six Flags coasters. Ever wonder how Terminator: Salvation stacks up when put against Raging Bull? Now you're gonna see those matches. But before we start the competition, you'll make your fearless predictions.
After the week of coaster picking (my favorite part of all tournaments cause it's the only time that I ever have a perfect bracket), we'll open up the first round. We're featuring 16 coasters from all parks and every one of them needs your vote and support. We'll be keeping score, too. The best bracket at the end of the tourney gets a 2011 Season Pass to the park. I mean, if your home coaster is named the best of all of Six Flags, you're gonna wanna ride it.
So head over to our Facebook page for the full rules and to make your choices. Then, if you want your picks to move on to the next round, get as loud as possible on our Wall. Last year's winner was Le Monstre in Montreal. Can it go two for two? It's an amazing coaster and the Vegas odds look pretty good but, as we all saw on Wednesday, USA is on a roll. Whatever happens, it'll be an exciting match.

Guys - it's a good ride. Just saying. People overlook it because of it's cheapish effects - it was a great, smooth ride before the "transformation" and it still is.
