Very good day to go to the park.
Park was not crowded at all compared to last time.
Got to the park just shortly before opening and walked to the back; place loooked like a ghost town.
Vertical Velocity was down all day - said due to maintenance; I think it is more because it is an expensive ride to run and they had it down because of attendance numbers to save costs.
Went on Batman twice in a row; once in the front and a walk-on in the back. Ragin Cajun was next (after we went on the swing flat ride by Batman) and the line there seemed to already be about 25 - 30 minutes. Definitely not my kind of ride; it was fine up until the spinning began. It just doesn't stop spinning until you are at the end!
Cannot remember the exact order of everything, but we went on Logger's Run (walk on), I went on Iron Wolf twice throughout the day and sat in the front. First time I had to wait for two trains (around 11 am) and the second time was about five trains (around 3 pm).
Went on the Little Dipper and it was a walk-on mostly all day. Definitely a kiddie ride - but Six Flags did it to add another coaster to the park, keep up the historical coaster, and because it fit well in a small area.
Went on Viper in the front seat later in the day - waited about four trains. Superman wait was less than 30 minutes all day for the front seat. Raging Bull had both queue houses closed off - so the wait was maybe 20 minutes for it (30 minutes for front seat I'd say). I was not too impressed with Raging Bull in the front seat and I actually like Superman and Viper over Raging Bull. Now if you sit closer to the back on Raginging Bull, I believe the ride improves quite a bit.
Took the trip on the Dark Knight; also walked right into the area with the big screen - and actually walked right through that as well! Maybe a 10 minute wait.
Demon was a walk on as well - maybe 10 minute wait for the front seat.
Overall, a MUCH better experience than the last time I went. Heck, we actually even left at 5 pm because we had ridden everything of interest.
There were several items down "due to maintenance". Included King Chaos, Vertical Velocity, the railroad, Sky Trek Tower, and a few other flats here and there.
As said earlier, many lifeguards were at the queues; I bet it is because some of the people they hire are already in school and cannot work during the day - so they are pulling from any employee available.
I'll have pictures posted at the end of our trip either this weekend or early next week on my website. Showed all the empty queue lines and different parts of the park that were very empty.
