For starters, I think it says either in the Season Pass book, or the website, or even on the back of your season pass, that the operation dates / times can change without notice! So, for everyone that is all upset over the change in hours, you need to stop with all the complaining about it. The park, like it or not, has the right to change their operation hours as they see fit. If it upsets you that much, then don't go!
In regards to the comments about Viper's station, let me ask you a question. Would you rather be in that station with 300 other people, with no air flow and sweating your butt off, or would you rather have the park put the grouper there, so that the station is not packed to the gills? I don't know about you, but I like option #2 a lot better.
The think to think about with the line is that with the grouper or not, your wait in line does not change. I don't know what the PPH on viper is, but for sake of argument, lets say it is 500. If there are 2000 people in front of you when you enter the line, grouper or not, you will wait in line for 4 hours. Even if the grouper is there, your wait in line won't change that. The grouper is there to help make the experience in the station much more enjoyable.
As far as the signs go, why don't you go into Guest Relations, and file a complaint? The park does listen to them, and they will take action to get things fixed.
I can't tell you how happy I am that for the past few seasons on how they have organized the line for viper. I remeber when I would have to wait in the station for it seems like forever before I got on the ride. I much rather wait outside in the actual que line than in a smelly old station any day. I love how you just walk right in the station and hop right on the ride. More rides should be like that.
Too piggyback on what Brian said about airflow in Viper station, I nearly fainted and needed medical attention at SFSTL in Boss's station this season because of the lack of airflow.
I wish they would let a few more people in Viper's line. Twice this year I've had to get the grouper's attention to send more people because the next train was coming and 3/4 of the lines had no one in it. I hope this isn't affecting capacity. So if you are in line and this happens, speak up nicely. I know I would be getting sleepy if I was a grouper.
Go outside, grab something sharp, and proceed to cut whatever line it is that provides your household with access to the world wide web
Okay thats just literally flaming and has no contact with the thread at all. I had been reading a lot that day that was negative and I am sorry for that, but this is just ridiculous. I think that cutting fright fest hours was sort of the last straw for me. I was really looking forward to staying late during FF this year and of course its not as late as I remember. Whatever people say, that was not a smart move whatsoever. I lost some faith in him with this move. Still, there is no reason to say this or any comment like this!
Last Visit, American Eagle BACKWARDS 5 times in a row right before the park closed. I cannot WAIT to go back for Fright Fest!
In my opinion, I'll take an hour less park time for what has been announced as a better fright fest experience.
Again, SF is trying to become a better park operator. That means they'll take the money saved and apply it to make the experience better during the times that 80% of their customers are there.
If you can logically explain that staying open later is better for six flags as a company, and not just for the small % of people like you, then I'll take my hand and fold.
