He really thinks Glow is a bad investment? A night time event encourages your guests to stay longer and spend more. I hate Webber with a passion, Paramount didnt want him and Palace didnt want him so Six Flags took him.
Lowering FF hours was stupid. I mean, I realize some parks had the closing at like midnight, but it's stupid, because our's is 10, and he brought it down to 9. Really? That's when I really lost all hope in him.
I don't know about you guys, but recently, we seem to be getting the really short end of everything. It started small with no coaster for a while when everyone else gets new ones. Then, we get jipped of a coaster right in front of us. Now lower fright fest hours! What's next? No big 2011 present? If that's the case, I fear that we may turn into Kentucky Kingdom!
There is so many things wrong with your ridiculous post that I don't even know where to start, so instead of insulting you I'll just say try reading the post that is directly above yours before posting and it may answer some of your questions.

Glow is a bad investment when you look at the fact that it is only at night, a very small portion of the parks daily operating schedule at that. And saying Paramount didnt want him is not really accurate considering the fact that Paramount sold the parks pretty much right out from under him to Cedar Fair.
How can you "hate someone with a passion" when you dont even know how he's going to run the chain yet?

If one hour makes you loose hope in a company leader, that's just sad and pathetic.

WOAH WOAH WAOH! Don't get crazy here. The park is operating fine, our coasters and rides are in excellent condition. Lowering hours and no new coaster won't make us into a KK, it'll just make us worse.

Facepalm.
Go outside, grab something sharp, and proceed to cut whatever line it is that provides your household with access to the world wide web
Again, with the "Theme Park Operator" ideal....it's more than just
1) Adding Coasters 2) Adding Thill Rides 3) Adding Even More Coasters
I really feel like half the people here would break the bank (yet again) if they stepped in the CEO's shoes for 10 minutes! When you look at the big picture.....there is a reason for their business practices and I highly doubt it's because they want to "shun" certian parks or "play favorites" by not giving parks coasters.
The only people that know the reasoning behind the motives aren't currently explaining their full intent....other than "we're still in debt and cuts have to be made across the board somewhere to save money so we don't lose it!"
Doesn't a Theme Park Operator mean that they are, I don't know, going to theme the rides. I think all of you guys are focusing on Amusement Park. Honestly I would be pretty happy to see Raging Bull get themed, even with the fake building cutouts, that would be awesome.
"Park staff later claimed that they were offered a hundred bucks a pop to try to the slide, but refused after seeing that test dummies often emerged on the other end dismembered. The looping slide was actually closed down for most of the park’s life due to these injury concerns."
For what its worth. Six Flags management considers themselves a "Theme Park operator" whether or not that constitutes actually having a theme is a different story.
^^ It depends what you kind of "Themeing" you are talking about. If you are looking for something such as Disney-esque style at any regional chain-park like Six Flags, probably not.
And, it really depends upon the budget.....if you plop a $25+ million dollar coaster down, you really can't expect there to be a whole lot of money left or even get the go ahead from the "head honchos" for emaculate themeing (aka, Raging Bull). S:UF would be another great example....if you think about costs for ride construction, concrete for paths,fencing/railings, landscaping (grass/trees....which could have easily still been the parking lot), and the signage they do have to occupy some of your time in a long(er) line....it's easier said than done to say " why can't they just add some cut-out buildings and houses with some fog and fire effects to simulate flying through a destructed city".
Wouldn't this crazy theory work to reward the better parks? :
Each park must give a certain percentage of profit to Six Flags corporate. The other money is for each park to save for maintenance and new additions. Call me crazy, but I really think that would work. Just me though.

No, not entirely do I agree with you. If some park is a dump type of park and no one is going to that park because it has nothing for you to excited about it, than Six Flags should invest in that park to get people to go. Six Flags Great America doesn't need people to go to the park. It's almost an automatic if you live in this area, and you aren't mad at the park for some of the stupid stuff they do, do. For instance, for the Lazy River, people went in there before the park closed, and they wouldn't let them go around the whole Lazy River. They made everyone get off at that place that only blue tubes can get in area. How would you like it if on Raging Bull, they said you must get off at the block brake? That's essential what they did! The management of the waterpark should be ousted! They don't know what they are doing. It's different for the regular park in which they know more what they are doing except for lockers which comes from up top.
Anyway, what is your gripe about Fright Fest hours? Are you people smoking something? I don't see any hours changed at all from last year. Saturdays it says it's open till 10 pm, Fridays till 11 pm, and Sundays till 9 pm. You guys / ladies need to look at last years hours to see the difference, and there is none!!
Edit: I see you guys / ladies are looking at the brochure from this year, and it does say later hours, but people these are the same hours as last year anyway, so it's not like you aren't getting more or less hours anyway.
I guess though the thing I don't like about what Al Webber is doing is that he is changing hours in the middle of the season for the rest of the season. The brochures are made, and the Season Pass books were made before, and have certain hours. Do that stuff next year in which you didn't make that stuff already. Does it really help that much to do something like this, and make people mad for shortened hours? In my opinion, NO. You look on here, and the park was supposed to be open on Saturdays at Fright Fest to 11 pm, and people are upset about that saying that they are losing hours in which it's only going to be open till 10 pm, but really that's last years hours, so what's the big deal, but yet you are making people mad for something stupid like that.

Your lazy river comparison to Raging Bull has got to be the stupidest thing I have ever heard.
^It's stupid because you aren't a waterpark person, and yes I know that they aren't going to take people off Raging Bull half way just for the fun of it, but for the Lazy River they will. How would you feel short jipped though. You would hate if they did take you half way off Raging Bull.
If I said that capacity at the waterpark is really bad because of very under-staffing, and they don't change signs when they are wrong, and than just this week you had the big body slides completely closed, and the tube slides in the back closed, and of course the thing is low-staffing this blah blah. Yet, you have all the roller coasters running the regular park. It's all because they are saving money on people because they feel it won't be that crowded so close stuff down.
You either visit the waterpark or you don't. And if you don't, you don't really understand the problems with the waterpark. For instance on a sign for Bahama Mamma, they have no signs at the entrance that say NO SINGLE RIDERS because you can't go alone. Than, you get up the stairs to go to either slide, and in the picture they both have 3 people in family raft, but for Bahama Mamma, they changed the rule for only 2 people to go on the waterslide. So, than you have a ton of people going up to the top, and they can't go on so than they either leave, or they go to the other green slide which makes that line longer at times because of that. Seriously, it's like once Six Flags makes a sign, or make a line, they don't want to change a darn thing to make it better.
For Viper, the park is so darn "lazy" that they need a grouper because they can't make more lines in the station that go back and forth. It's just dumb. How much money would it cost to make steel lines in the station that go back and forth a little bit, and how much money does it cost a day for that person to be there - $8 times a lot of 12 hour days = $96 . So, let's just take 90 days into the picture, that would be $8960 not to put in more lines in the station just for 3 months of ONE summer that go back and forth so you wouldn't have a jammed house, but rather a organized line. Surely, the best example is River King Mine Train at St Louis as the station has lines going back and forth, but they could do just a tiny little better than that. Most stations don't need lines going back and forth because the stations are usually built to not accomodate a ridiculous amount of people like Viper, or like Deja Vu.

^Just because I don't like what certain head people are doing at the park doesn't mean that I don't like the "content" at the park, and it doesn't mean I'm not going to go to either the waterpark, or the other park. That's Six Flags loss if they make people mad at the stupid things they don't want to change. Anyone's bad trip to either the waterpark or the regular park could say forget Six Flags. I'm not coming back. For Viper's line, that's money they could be saving, and that's there fault for not figuring a way to save some money.
In comparision, you are the one with Top Thrill Dragster avatar in which you hated Cedar Point the last time you went, but you also must like the content there!

Listen, Im not going to get into a pissing contest with you,
But what I will say is this.... Every single post you make is one where Six Flags is wrong, Six Flags is doing things half-assed, blah blah blah.
The ONLY thing you ever do is complain. So dont give me this B.S that you enjoy the "content" when really its pretty apparent that no matter what Six Flags does, your not going to be happy with it.
