La Ronde 8/2/2010

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby bobbinbop20 on August 8th, 2010, 9:16 pm
Where to begin where to begin....

La Ronde. Much better then Canada's Wonderland can ever dream of being. I have to say I really enjoyed my time at La Ronde and would love to go back. I don't think I saw anything anywhere that even mentioned that this place had anything to do with Six Flags, but hey my SFKK season pass worked.

Operations at La Ronde could use some work. Le op's clearly didn't give a shit about meeting the hourly capacity of the ride and the line could stretch all the way out of the park and they wouldn't do much about it. This caused me to not love La Ronde but just mearly like it. I mean some employees were better then others, but overall the majority just kind of sucked, and they sat in plastic chairs and talked instead of doing their jobs.

La Ronde has a ton of food choices, I wish I could have tried more then I did. They even have a Mcdonalds, which is awesome because Mcdonalds is awesome and it wasn't even that expensive! Le cha ching!

Credit wise I didn't do so well, Ednor (The new SLC) was running one train and had a 2 hour wait, we got in line and it wasn't moving at all so I said screw that. I didn't get the boomerang either because everytime we got in line it broke down and then the 3rd time we got in line it started raining and we left the park. Also I didn't ride Dragon (I think?) because I didn't know it was there. It's alright though because I got all the important rides like....

GOLIATH! The french pronounce it like "gunyick" not even joking it was so weird, even the pre recorded speil in the station said it like that. Anyway, THIS RIDE IS AMAZING! Better then Diamondback and Behemoth put together, and even I thought I would never say that knowing how much I worship both of those. Seriously Don't think this ride is meh because it's not even a true hyper coaster, It grabs you by the balls and takes you for one hell of a ride. Might be the ride with the most airtime that I've been on, every single hill even the turnaround gives pure ejector air in the last row. Screw the people that say it has an unoriginal layout, I don't need anything but awesome airtime hills, and that's pretty much what Goliath is. Match made in heaven. Currently my third favorite coaster, right behind X2 and El Toro!

French Batman, a little rough around the edges but definetly very very intense. it also had a really long line

Le Cobra was better then I expected and I actually enjoyed it

Le Monstre. Ok What the hell, I was sure this ride was gonna suck, but it's soooooooooooooo good, I don't even know why, It's like the beast all rough and outta control except there's actually some airtime and the drops are really steap and the entire ride is just crazy and insane. I LOVE LE MONSTRE and I was 99% sure I would never say that. La Ronde is full of suprises

I'm tired of typing. Just go to La Ronde and be suprised. Pictures....

I think B&M hypers with the old trains like Nitro and Goliath are much better in the last row, and the newer ones like Diamondback and Behemoth are much better in the front two rows

Image

Image

Image

Image
hey look Goliath goes vertical!

Image

Image

Image
my god I took alot of Goliath photos

It's alright, I need to get it stuck in your brain so it's all you think about and won't stop until you ride it

I always hated this ride for the whole tourny of thrills thing, but it's actually fun

Image

Image
I have to admit it's cool that the whole ride is above water

Agreed that Goliath is a damn good ride, turnaround especially. I wasn't all that impressed with the rest of the park though, and was nearly kicked off the Sky Tower for attempting to take a picture from it.

Endor probably rides exactly like any other SLC, was on the rough side in Texas.

I had a very similar experience to La Ronde last September. Lots of ops that didn't care, huge lines on everything, but managed to enjoy the food. Although I didn't get my queue de castor and that made me sad.

Hi, this is bobbinbop20's sister, he is no longer a member of this ridiculous forum... anyway I wanted to anwser w00dland.

w00dland wrote:Have you been on Apollo's Chariot? How did Goliath compare?

We haven't been on Apollo's Chariot so I can't compare the two. We've only been on Nitro, Diamondback, Behemoth, Raging Bull, and Goliath at La Ronde (obviously)

But if it means anything I'd say Goliath is the best out of the one's we've been on.

acquaz10 wrote:Wasn't this locked. Anyways. Great TPR. I know you posted it to AmusementParkAuthority, but I don't think I said how good it was there. Haha.

Yes, it was locked. I guess they realized that people actually like PTR's with GOOD pictures

But yeah, amusement park authority is a much better site. we recently made another PTR for The Great Escape but it's only on amusmentparkauthority, so if you want to see it and all of our future PTR's I would go join over there, they're nice people
Dont cha wish your hyper coaster was hot like Diamondback?

Says the person who hugs and licks coaster supports. Hey, here is a crazy idea. Why don't you follow in your brother's footsteps and leave this ridiculous forum as you call it? Don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out. Nobody will miss you. SEE YA!!!!!!!
