August 4th...last trip living in the Chicago area/ hot day

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Jackluver18 on August 5th, 2010, 12:49 am
Got to the park around 9:15ish and met up with a friend of mine. It was 20 dollars front parking first come first serve...which was nice. Also I knew there was a concert so it was gonna be crowded. We first hit Whizzer and on the way met the President of Six Flags...rather nice guy. Didn't hit Viper so then we hit Bull next for a short wait and then hit Eagle. We then took a lunch break around 1:30. It was hot, muggy, gross, nasty you name it. The sun didn't even come out and the humidity was just awful. After lunch hung out for a little bit, I wanted to go on water rides but never got around to it so I went to go see Show Stoppin and my friend went on a few rides. I guess it rained when I was in the show but not hard and it made the humidity even worse. So after going to the show we went on Demon and I don't know what it was but Demon didn't really like me today. I had a horrible headache and felt sick. I didn't get sick on anything but I felt like. After Demon, we took a little breather and then hopped on Bull again before we hung out a little bit more till a current ride op friend of mine...who will not be named came and hung out with us for a little bit.

It felt like it was getting even hotter to me, I was drained and gross. I felt like going home but couldn't due to it being my last trip till FF so I just drank plenty of water and took some advil. That helped for a little bit but there were some rides I couldn't handle because of the heat which is why my totals are rather low....oh well.

Anyways my friend who I came to the park with, went to the concert so while he was at the concert my ride op friend and I went back to Eagle and didn't wait very long. After going on Eagle, we headed to SUF and waited about a half hour for that then got on Rue. My ride op friend left and my other friend wanted to ride Bull, I wanted to see the parade once more before I left. It was good as always, after the parade I did Whizzer one last time. Again to all my friends who work at the park, to all I didn't see today, I am so sorry I didn't see you. I promise to be back for Fright Fest, I hope to see everyone then. I promise. If you'd like to contact me, PM me on here for my email. See everyone again soon. Oh forgot to add, Rides that were down..Chaos was down all day, Rue opened later on in the night, I heard Cajun was closed in the morning and then opened later on.

Totals

Whizzer-2
Bull-2
Demon-1
Eagle-2
SUF-1
Rue-1

=9 very very low number for me....too dang out and crowded. Will be back for FF, thanks again Six Flags Great America for being such a great park to go to.

Yeah, the heat can get to anyone especially when outdoors walking around all day, and than going on rides. Too bad it had to be that bad of a day for your last official living in Chicago trip until you move.

Yeah I know, today would have been a better day to go but my friend can only go on Wednesday and Saturdays so that's why I went. That's what upset me the most was how terrible the weather was on my last trip in the Chicago area till FF. Oh well, nothing much I can do. I just hope FF isn't this hot because I will be quite angry

I know but I don't want to go to Lagoon, I would like to visit Magic Mountain but there is no way it'll ever be my home like GAm was.

Im moving to Park City and believe me, it is boring. I spent two weeks there before I found out we were gonna move and it's boring. All there is to do is ski.....which gets lame after awhile. There is nothing else to do in the Park City area that is remotely fun.

Salt Lake city is still 11 hours from magic mountain but you do have a point 11 hours verses a day and a half which is probably non stop driving :x

It's a 10 to 12 hour drive, one I won't be making on a daily basis. I did inform my mother that when I do get the chance, I am moving back to Chicago. Utah isn't going to be my home forever, Chicago has been my home for 23 years and that is never going to change.
