6/29/2010- cooler weather, less crowds

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby thedemonclown on June 30th, 2010, 2:38 pm
Got to the park at about 10:15. We started the day off with viper (2 minute wait) which was running quite well today. Next was, ugh, the rainbow puke car.(5 minute wait) :( Besides the fact of riding in a pink car, the ride seemed a bit slow. After the my little pony demon, we flew to batman (5 minute wait) with it running smoothly. King Chaos next (cycle wait). Little dipper next (coaster credit 15 minute wait) actually was better than I expected. Wolfie (burns, piggy lives) next (2 minute wait) a lot more headbanging than last year in my opinion. After the thrills I decided to just chill out and ride buccaneer battle (what do you think the the wait was) Orbit next to dry (cycle wait). It was time to just take a break so I headed over to Face the Music (which I was pretty reluctant about) I volunteered to be a contestant because I'm a game show geek and got placed on a team with Tweens (the starbursts) our opponents were a teenage boy and two middle-aged men (called retro dudes bc of two men and the teenager liked billy Joel a lot) Our team clobbered 26-41, and we got to exit the theater (wait what?) I heard wrong, our team got exit passes :) After this I left to eat lunch. I came back at around 1:50 to go on Grown-Ups: The Ride (15 minute wait) our ride opp wondered what sound a flamingo makes, our response- google it. Chubasco next (cycle wait). After this I used my exit pass on bull teal train row 6. Went over to dark knight (30 minute wait) Raging bull again red train row 3 (35 min wait) this time with two teenagers who cried and screamed of terror during the whole ride. After backtracking so many times that day, I wanted to go on a ride that all you do is sit, and off to camp cartoon I went! :) I was surprised when they let me on the mystery machine (cycle wait) being without a child and being well over the height of one, sang beautiful dirty rich the whole ride though :) Still wobbily after that so took the train to hometown square and rode triple play (cycle wait). Rue le dodge next (10 min) and the car ride thingy (15 min). Rainbow puke train reride (25 min wait) seemed faster this time. Batman reride (25 min) and whizzer reride (10 min) to end the day before the parade.

For me, that day I got on (I usually don't remember because I just keep on riding stuff, but this time I remember because for the roller coasters it wasn't that many.):

Triple Play - 2
Hometown Fun Machine -1
Demon -1
Dark Knight -1
Whizzer -2
V2 - 3
Batman the Ride - 5
Iron Wolf - 2
Train -1
The Orbit - 1
Condor -1
Whirligig - 1
Sky Trek Tower - 3
Columbia - 1 (Slowest possible thing in the world!)

Waterpark (It's hard to say about how long in the wavepool.)
Tornado - 2
Lazy River -2
Back slides - 2
6 slide complex slides - 2
Bahama Mamma - I think 3
Bathama Tubba - 2
Glow in the Park Parade -1
Wavepool - I'll count as 1 even though if comparing it other rides I rode it would be a ton more than 1 considering each ride is like 2-5 minutes, and so it was probably way more than 30 minutes in there.

^Besides going on a different day, you went on more roller coasters including Raging Bull, and SUF which are bound to have much longer lines anyway. However, if you went on Raging Bull earlier, maybe you would get a 10 minute line. I don't know?

At the beginning of the day (within first 15 minutes) even if it has one row in the queue house, they have 3 trains going normally which means some 90 people on those trains because it seats 36 people per train, so that line shouldn't be that long. I think especially for that ride, looks can be deceiving as the line is going to go quite fast. For Superman, they are slower loading the train because of as I say how wide the train is compared to other rides (and them not fixing the loading. Blah, blah), and they only have 1 train in the course on the track at any given time.

I just want to say about ride crews, and those topics from before. Oooh, they say well Demon has the best ride crew, and Raging Bull has the best ride crew. Thinking about it, how can someone really say that? You go in the morning to a ride, and they are super slow, but you go to an evening and they are super fast. To me, it's not fair to say well Raging Bull has the best ride crew. I base it on the shift of people. For Deja Vu, I always felt that the weekends morning crew were fast, but the night people were slow as molasses. The weekday afternoon people I felt were in the medium range. These were all different people operating the ride. I just went on Batman the Ride that day as I said. The morning people were slow as molasses. The night people were fast as anything.

So, really how can you say the Superman crew are the best crew when it changes from weekend to weekday to morning and to night? Batman the Ride got a cow I believe. There is no way the morning crew deserves a cow, but the night weekday crew deserves 5 cows.

Actually, yes! I went last Saturday and the crew was dispatching with 5-10 seconds left! Not stacking! :) Full queue was 35 minutes. (1st full queue.)
