I feel that even if this park gets the money for this ride, I think this park is a dead duck. I always hear news stories about this park, and their financial trouble. If the park isn't working anymore, it's not working. You can't do nothing more about it, but visit it until it's gone, but I just think this park is wishful thinking that it's going to be open for much longer.

it's not that the park is no longer viable, they went into debt over retarded ownership issues and the ensuing legal battles stemming from one Gary Harris. Rather than tell the entire story, google it, but the park is still entirely viable, and even as is, the park manages to be open. The place just refuses to die. Plus taking 10 seconds to vote every day for 3 weeks isn't going to kill anyone.

Good idea. I'll click the button once a day if it helps get the ride running again.
I was out at that park in 2005, and rode Blue Streak. I was there during the week and early in the season, so crowds were light. But, those that were there appeared to be having a good time. As long as the owners keep things running, I don't see why the park cannot stay in business for more then just a few seasons. The lake is a big draw, and having the rides and other attractions right at the lake is a great combination. --Brian

Also for anyone who doubts that CLP is viable look at Arnolds Park in Iowa. 2006 when the park closed. The park reopened last year minus blue streak, and the park has been suffering badly without their star attraction

WE DID IT!  Thanks to everyone who voted day in and day out. Blue Streak @ Conneaut Lake HAS WON the $50,000 Pepsi Refresh Grant. AND THAT's NOT ALL! Blue Streak reopened late Thursday afternoon. While rides on the Blue Streak will not be included in the existing ride wristband program, the price is only $3 to ride. So, if you get the chance, get out to Conneaut Lake Park, and ride this historic coaster! --Brian
