Do you think the problems with the Dark Knight installation have anything to do with why the manager is gone?? I just thought about that.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
No that was the town and states fault, which is why Jokers Wild Card had to be taken out and put in storage in the first place. Massachusetts is anal about indoor rides. We're lucky with Houdini. That has nothing to do with it. Its definitely because of the Shapiro/Snyder connection.
I'm pretty sure they had variances to build the ride, but they started building before the government approved the building plans that ensured it would be built to code etc. Either way that was one messed up situation. You never know whats going to happen with rides when this kind of stuff happens, obviously they removed the building they had already started constructing for the ride and just scrapped the project and sent the ride to Mexico. Something kinda similar hapenned in 2001 when Six Flags Marine World was approved to build a 150ft. tall impulse coaster and they built Vertical Velocity (which was clearly over 150ft). The village was quite literally like "WTF" and had the ride indefinitley closed. SF ended up hiring Intamin to re-design it .
When's the last ride they added something to the EPCOT, but yet attendance is still up the roof?
While I agree with some of your post, that is not a fair comparison at all. Yes its bad that Six Flags needs to sell season passes cheap and add new things every year to get people to come back, however, comparing it to Epcot's attendance is completely unrelated. 30-40% of WDW's attendance depending on time of year is international and Central Florida is by far the highest attended tourism destination in the world.

I have a feeling season passes will no longer be $64.99 next season. More like $69.99 which is where it should have stayed.
^Agreed 100% with that. You NEVER lower your prices and brag about it when said product is meant to feel like a premium item. It's why Universal offer's it lowest prices ever in the last 2 years and attendance tanks while Disney raises prices and attendance grows.
Season Pass sales are important to Six Flags. These days you can easily tell youself you will get one for yourself if it only costs $15-$20 more than a general admission ticket. $110 at Six Flags? Never. They have already screwed themselves with the pricey food (Causing people to eat out) and parking prices. Just adding parking and food will set you (and maybe another person) about $50.
