This when i saw it was sad to see. I know there isn't much you can do but it is still sad to see one of our brother parks be abandoned like this is always sad to see. Check THIS out.

You would think they would clean some of this up, instead of just leaving everything sitting there.

Who knows how long it's gonna sit there

It's surprising that at KK all of the signs of Six Flags were removed right when it was announced, but for NO all the signs are still standing. :/

Six Flags was banned from entering SFNO and taking anything else after removing what they did. They got their baby (Goliath) and a few other things (planters, road runner Express) so they don't care.

So whats the deal? Does Six Flags still own the park? I went under their website and its not listed under there.

Kind of depressing.

Well Six Flags never really owned the park, they just operated it, a few months ago they settled with the city to break their lease. They got pretty favorable terms, though I forget exactly what it was. They only had to pay the city something like 10 million bucks.

Kind of like SFKK? I know Six Flags went in and removed just about everything they wanted and could get away with and then the city got really mad and got a court order preventing any further removal. Everything that is left is going to end up in a landfill somewhere anyway.

hmmm....

Whered ya' hear that? The only "rumor" I heard was that Six Flags took an enterprise.

1. Why would they only want an enterprise when there are better flats to take?
2. Why would they go to court to try and get some rides?

1. If they did take it, it meant it was not ruined by the flooding.
2. Moving and referbing a ride is cheaper than buying a new one.

Six Flags was able to get the Batman clone, the roller skater, S & S towers, Mega Zeph trains and the parks neon lights (which were given to the rebooted national roller coaster museum this year) for sure. Not bad at all for the amount they got in insurance and only had to pay to break the lease.

I have that bear The one with the playing cards I got it during Fright Fest at SFGAM. It is a terrible sight to see a closed amusement park. Does anyone think there is an amusement park heaven?

Shockwave's lift motor is still at Six Flags Great America on Demon.

If I'm not mistaken, part of a staircase is on Whizzer, some trains are at SFGAD. I am surprised Demon didn't get any trains.

Superman's station itself is mostly the same as it was used on Shockwave. Anyway, it looks more and more like one day someone will buy out SFNO and tear everything out before building new condo buildings or businesses in the area.

98% of track and supports - Scrapped at Cleavland Recycling in Zion on Sheridan Road.
-small segment rumored to be refabricated for Demon
-small pieces still used as Fright Fest props
-a scrap of track went...

Trains - SFGAdv and SFMM
Station structure - Some of it is in the boneyard, currently used as a storage shed with corrugated metal attached
Lift motor - Demon
Spiral staircases - Whizzer, with some still sitting in the back
Sign - Natl. Roller Coaster Museum (rumored)
Curved New Orleans-themed gates at entrance - Seven Sins Cemetery entrance.
Various motors with blue paint (may or may not be Shockwave) can be found on Demon and Whizzer.

How did this end up in the SFNO thread?
