I know some of you have never been to SFGadv, but some people who are regular park goers need your help. Six Flags wants to close down Houdini's Great Escape(our Vekoma Madhouse), but this is a problem. We barely have any flats and this is our best flat. It works fine, gets good lines and ridership, but still, Six Flags wants to close it down. I know some of you don't care, but, please join this on facebook. Please don't say anything mean back. If you don't care, you don't have to say it. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=312380654897&ref=ts. PLEASE JOIN TO SAVE HOUDINI!!!

I have been on the one at Noah's Ark (maybe it's gone now), and it was just boring. Whenever people do these petitions, it hardly ever helps at all. If you get 50,000 people, that still isn't that many people compared to the millions of people the park gets. I do think that SFGAdv just like Magic Mountain needs flats.
Six Flags is too obsessed with these roller coasters, and having these parks just be roller coaster parks. Yes, you do have teens and adults only going on roller coasters, but what about the just below teen range. They might only be able to fit on 3 roller coasters, and what else are they going to do all day?? So, they don't come. I love to ride roller coasters, but I also love to ride flats also that are actually great.
To me carnivals have a lot more great flat rides than Six Flags does. The Flying Bobs at Six Flags America which of course they are selling and the Wipeout at Six Flags New England (which I haven't been on) to me is probably the only 2 great flat rides in the entire chain. Everything else to me is just good. Of course, they don't tilt the Yo-Yos at Six Flags Over Texas, or at Six Flags St. Louis which = boring / bad.
Six Flags = the hater of flat ride thrills. Than, not many people go on the flats, and you have to keep on buying roller coasters like anything. The Top Spin at Great America to me is a wimpy ride.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
Sorry I forgot to post this earlier, but better late than never
I want to thank everyone who help out. Houdini is coming back to Gadv, so thank you to those who made it such a great success. Because of supporters like you, Houdini will be open from Memorial day to labor day this year and possibly fright fest.
Six Flags still has a working relationship with Vekoma. If amusement park's/chains stopped buying from a specific manufacturer over a problem ride, then no parks would be able to buy anything, in fact companies such as, say, Intamin would be long out of business at this point.

Im not trying to be mean or anything, but I highly doubt that your facebook page had anything to do with their decision to keep the ride, as it only had 612 members, which isn't even a fraction of sfgadv attendance.
