5/2 Stuck on Whizzer

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby onyxhotel08 on May 2nd, 2010, 6:34 pm
Great day to be at the park. Sun dominated the skies later on. Had a minor setback with Whizzer for about 10 minutes while we were about to get off but hey got one free drink pass. Only noticed STT and Roaring Rapids closed. Did not see Chang on Eagle. Revolution seemed to be going faster and higher than last year. First time on Triple Play in years. I officially name Viper the best ride in the park. I still don't see how Go Karts can fit in the SWF area. GAR was closed too I think. No Condor sign. One girl was shocked Dark Knight was like ''15 seconds long". Longest wait for any ride was maybe 30 minutes for Bull later on.

If it ends up there I would not be surprised if they change the track layout.

There is no way now you can fit them both in in that tiny area

I can also see the park making a few changes to the area, like removing those motorcars in front, and pushing the area up, since there is no need for a queue line.

^^ Both?

great American Raceway and Go Karts...they do have to change that area soon as the SWF queue lines stand out too much and the dried up pond looks terrible but maybe GAR will go and go karts will take over the whole area...

if the Go-karts take up the whole area, I expect for the park to make it a MUCH larger circuit, if they want to justify the removal. I'm sure many like to go on GARW to waste a bit of time after diner.

If you look at the whole GAR and SWF area, it is much easier to see the Go Karts there. I think they are much more popular than GAR and putting them in County Fair might make it more accessible to people who don't go by it now. It is kind of hidden on a day like today when you have both HH and STT closed.

Clarification: they will most likely fill in the SWF site and redesign the go-kart layout if it ends up there.

They will not remove Raceway, not after the fact they just bought all of the Kiddieland cars.

Most likely, the Go-Karts planning and development will be done now, and they will open the new Go-Karts before removing the others. They don't want to lose a single dollar.

And filling up the SWF area, and setting up the track really isn't THAT much work, is it?

They probably have to do that before the winter a concrete work cannot be done in the freezing cold. So we might see some action.

Was it you Onyx [or any one else] that was there on Saturday who sat behind two teenagers on Eagle [they were in front row]?

I remember whoever it was looked at the AE fact sheet I was looking at, and also mentioned SFGAm World to the person behind them on the lift hill.

Oh and the person I was with probably screamed "OMG I SEE CHANG!"

Sometime between 6 and 7 on red side, that may have been me up in the front row, and staring at the AE factsheet. I did not mention the World, though.

Just as I sat down some other guy that had ridden front row about 10 minutes earlier showed up out of nowhere and got on (still trying to figure out how in less than 10 minutes he managed to get back through the queue that was past the red/blue split, and cut past an assload of people to get back to the front); pretty sure he was an ACEr.
