Six Flags Magic Mountain 2/27 &2/28/2010 !

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby bobbinbop20 on March 3rd, 2010, 9:41 pm
First of all, you should all go watch this video I made at Magic Mountain, complete with support humping, rolling on the floor, and FIREEEE!!!!! Go watch it, because it's awesome you know?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayrEkamP7DM <------ Click that for FIRE! You know you want to ;)

Anyway, where do I start? Magic Mountain, my favorite six flags park and for that matter favorite park, I would first like to point out the HUGE differences the park has undergone since last year at this time. They really spruced up the place and everything looks absolutely great, this has got to be the best condition Magic Mountain has ever been in! I'm loving the new management.

I had an amazing time at SFMM, and you should as well, book your flights now, before its charred to a crisp by a wildfire! Hurrrrrrrrry people hurry!

Let's talk about X2, because well I want to. Got a problem? Then just skip to the pictures like I'm sure most everyone does anyway right? Go on, be a follower, hop on that bandwagon! I honestly couldn't careless, and for the people still reading this, well congrats you won a prize! Well not really I just wanted your attention, now back to your regularly scheduled PTR...

Where were we? Oh yes X2! I would like to point out the X2 was the best roller coaster ever last year when I rode it, and now it's even better, imagine that. We rode X2 9 times during our stay in Valencia, and each one got better and better, ride in row 7 on the stairs side of the station, on an Inside seat and your in for a real treat. The first drop is absolutely insane from that seat, you get whipped over the top and the flip at the bottom scared the shit out of me every single time.

When you ride X2 in said seat, your legs are shot off of the seat at the bottom of the first drop and It's really awesome, kinda like when you ride in the last row of demon! This weekend was my first night ride on X2, and I'll just say if you haven't rode X2 in the dark your really missing out. Go ride it!

As for the other coasters go, Riddler's is still awesome, Tatsu is still awesome, The Scream! fan boy inside of me says Scream! is still awesome, and Goliath makes me gray out every time. amazing. end of story

Terminator was really good, I absolutely loved that ride, could have rode that thing all day long for sure, my favorite GCI by a long shot. It really amazed me.

When you go to SFMM get the soft frozen lemonade stuff they have there, it's beyond godly

Superman was closed all weekend, and There was two pieces of red track for the roller skater sitting behind Terminator.

Enough typing already, picture time :D

No kidding, but at the same time I think the original X logo looks pretty awesome on her. Maybe we should get X tattoos too...

Question.
Is Scream pretty much just a big Medusa Clone?
Top 5: 1) El Toro. 2) Maverick. 3) Millenium Force. 4) Diamondback. 5) X2.

Scream is really neglected. Now that flashback is gone, they've neglected scream. Almost every coaster in the park received a new paint job, but scream. That photo of the loop just looks sad.

And yes it is a mirror clone of the GAd Bizarro.

Would you consider this park as a two day trip.

There's no doubt that you should spend 2 days at SFMM, I mean technically you could probably do it all in one if your really wanted to, but If your gonna travel all the way there why not take your time and enjoy yourself?!

That's the way I see it anyway, oh and by the way, Scream! is a mirrored clone of Bizarro, only Scream is a few feet taller. Having been on both, I prefer Scream, The pacing on Medusa/Bizzaro just sucks and Scream just gives a better ride even if it is built over a parking lot.

I was just there this past SUN and MON.

My observations compared to last year.

-Park is a lot cleaner
-Operations were a lot better (even on a weekday)
-Scream got worse
-Revolution got worse
-Ninja was still in rehab (late)
-They handled opening a lot better
-Operators still suck.
-I got a front and back row POV with my MiniDV camera (which is kind of big) on every coaster and no one said a word to me....which really told me that there ops don't know how to enforce rules.

I do like the park a lot more now after visiting this year, however it is still not even in my top 5 parks. However, there coaster collection is #1.
