Trade - In Ultra Twister

Ultra Twister was at Astroworld, and than I noticed when I went to Six Flags America, that it was laying in the field (at least some of it). Now, it's up for sale, but what I find kind of different is that it's a "trade-in" which to me means that they got something else (Six Flags) for this roller coaster. http://www.italintl.com/detail_page.php?record_id=1323

I'm wondering what did they get used (Six Flags) from this website. I wish they would buy more Chance Wipeouts like at Six Flags New England.

Assuming that the "fair,fair, poor" conditions listed on the website were from the original posting of the ride on the website.....I can only imagine how "wonderful" of shape it's in now.

The only kind of Trade-In that would even be worth anything for this is scrap for cash

Is there are a reason SF doesn't put it up at Six Flags America? Refurb it a bit, paint it. :/

If was badly damaged when it was removed from SFAW.

This + Batman + Empty Land + Greased Lightning= Proof that Closing SFAW was a Mistake.

^One might also argue the reason why those roller coasters are nowhere is because they are old, and no one wants them. Ultra-Twister is a low capacity ride, and it's a Togo. I don't know if it's good or not though. I haven't been to Astro World. I think that Batman ride is just like Iron Wolf, and you know Iron Wolf fares.

The only really important thing to me is are they making a big enough profit? If you aren't making a big enough profit, than there is no reason to me to keep that park. That park had enough roller coasters in my opinion to make some money. It's not Kentucky Kingdom. I think they relocated a lot of stuff to that park over the years.

When you have a ride that came from a park called Thriller, than it's went to Astroworld, than it went to Discovery Kingdom (Maybe, Marine World at the time.) as Zonga, and it got moved again. To me, the park needed newer stuff even though I know I haven't been there instead of used rides being changed to these are new rides.

This is why I feel that stupid Ride Rotation Program doesn't work. There is a reason why these rides are taken down! The only way it would work is if a park closes, but yet you know most of those rides aren't going to be that good anyway because there is a reason why the park closed down! The other reason to move a ride in my opinion is if you have a ride that hurt someone, but it was not the rides fault, you would move that to another park as a new ride.

To me, parks don't need a new ride every year (That's why they had the stupid Ride Rotation Program because they have to a new ride every year, or people won't come back, blah, blah - sure.) Tell Disneyland that (a more local people park even though it's Disney). Making your guests satisfied and happy should be the number 1 thing to worry about. People are going to come back if they enjoyed their time at an amusement park. The people who really are obsessed over new rides are especially roller coaster enthusiasts (or people that live right by it - 5 -10 miles away because they can go constantly to the park) because they go to the park 20 times, and SOME of them get bored of the same old, "old" stuff.

How do you figure? Just out of curiosity did you ever go to SFAW?

I have, and the place was a run-down dump, The only mistake SF made, was not closing that place years earlier.

I don't see why everyone was all gaga over the place when they closed it. Stupid.

But I've never been there, so I'm only basing this off your judgement.
