^ Completely un-related to this "argument" how is the Railroad Museum? I read about it when I first moved here but have yet to meet someone who has been there.
^Very cool place. It's supposedly the largest railroad museum in the country.
Wildwesttown is right down the street from it, which is also a cool place to check out. Both are in Union Illinois. I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
I'm too embedded in the fast life.
Once I graduate I plan on paying to live in an overpriced closet in Chicago, NYC or LA. I need the city, I love the city. It's nice to get away to the nature/wilderness side of America every so often. But like I said, every so often. When it comes my everyday life, it runs like I live in the city. The fast life!
I actually really like downtown Chicago, but to me it feels more like a vacation place. I don't think I could live there for a long period of time without going crazy. I like having a huge yard with my own space.
That is why I like where I live right now. Yes, I am literally in the middle of nowhere (in a village of 1,000 people) but it is nice. You know pretty much everyone and everyone gets along. And if I want, Milwaukee is only 45mins south so I can easily go down whenever I want. I actually go to school in Milwaukee so I am here most of the day anyway. By my house in Newburg there are 3 apartment complexes (8 apartments in each). And I got to know most of the people that live there and there are parties/bonfires all the time on the weekends. During the summer there would be a fire almost every night. And everyone gets along and are good friends. The other nice thing is the lack of cops...no need to worry about the size of the fire. Once there were 2 couches burning at once. In fact this weekend we are having a Halloween party in the basement of one of the buildings. Huge fire, tons of food, lots of alcohol, pool table, and ping pong, and everyone who lives there will be attending. A bad thing about the apartments though is that everyone here is a heavy drinker (3/4 of the people here get drunk every night). And 3 of the people I know are most likely alcoholic....so sometimes some bad decisions are made. [read]

Frankly, I always get bored in Oui-con-sin, but there's always something fun in Illinois. One of the funnest locations in Illinois is the Lincoln Presidential library in Springfield. I loved it when I went and I'm glad I'll go back next year for my school's trip

^ The central IL Lincoln sights is a unknown treasure of the state along with the Dana-Thomas house. Also, oddly enough there is the national Funeral museum in Springfield as well.
I think in comparison of Milwaukee VS Chicago...Chicago would win with "stuff to do". However when comparing the states as a whole I think Wisconsin offers a lot more.
If you just look a Wisconsin travel guide there is a lot to do all year round. I did however look at Illinois travel information and it was all about Chicago. But I think it is what you are into. Wisconsin is all about parks and recreation. I can think of at least 10 unique parks that are within 20 mins from my house. My favorite is "ledge park". It is a cliff (over 100ft tall) in the middle of a forest. It fun to walk out to the edge and also to go through the caves at the bottom. [read]

Brought this back because it was fun.
Wisconsin was ranked #8 for the state with the highest average IQ....Illinois was ranked #35. Wisconsin has a lot more athletes in the Olympics. F()K IDOT! I got a ticket in the mail for "not paying" a toll. I threw my coins in and it never registered. So I throw in another dollar...nothing happened so I just drove through. I was NOT going to pay the $2 fee to pay it online (which no one even knows about). I want a refund for my dollar I threw in along with not paying the ticket. And I am not going to drive down there to solve this. Anyone know a number I can call? It' s not my fault there too lazy to fix the machines. [read]
^Best of luck with a phone call. Took me 4 hours to resolve a issue with my car not being added to my fiancee's I-Pass. Had to do a 3 way conference call my fiancee, my mom (who owns the car for insurance reasons) and an I-Pass person despite the fact I was the driver. All this over 3 tolls worth a grand total of $0.80.
