How do YOU try to eat healthier?

A Off-Topic forum to discuss things that aren't related to the Amusement Park Industry.

I skip candy, soda, foods with preservatives, breads, milk (it is NOT good for you & loaded with stuff to keep it fresh), very little meat and am trying to eat more steamed vegetables. I know some cannot live without chips or ice cream. I think what you have to realize is that there is very LITTLE good food available for us out there in the grocery stores but you have to look LONG term and realize our bodies DO have an EXPIRATION date. If you MUST eat ice cream eat it stuff that has only the main ingredients (milk, sugar, cream) and if you love sandwiches look for bread with only the ingredients you can pronounce and buy yourself (Flour, yeast, etc.) as the more chemicals you put in your body the harder your body has to work and eventually all the bad stuff keeps piling up until illnesses and diseases occur.

I skip breakfast, soda, fast food and just smoke cigarettes, drink diet soda, and coffee all day. I have lost so much weight. I highly recommend it!

I go for low-cal options at restaurants. Not much besides that besides pilates and dance classes two times a week.

When I want to eat healthy, I make myself a nice serving of hemlock, usually followed by a heaping helping of jimson weed, both organically grown. Wouldn't want any nasty chemicals in my body!

So, what would you eat tomorrow and the next day? What's a typical day of what you eat and drink? I just couldn't deal without candy, and bread. That to me is torture, but to each themselves. Cutting out pizza for me is a NEVER in my life thing as it's my favorite food!

Well, I lose about 10 pounds during Lent, by cutting out Pizza, pasta, Cereal, and FAST FOOD!

So, I'm covered for the rest of the year!

Oh, lent. I never can keep up my promises. Last time, my no sugar and vegitarian lasted about 12 hours.

The reason why Fast Food gets a bad reputation is because of people eating an Extra Value Meal. You have 400 for the fries, 400 for the sandwich most likely, and another 200 or more for the drink. The thing is people don't realize how many calories they are eating, and treat as a "regular" meal as in they are supposed to eat 3 meals a day.

I think moreso at Restaurants people realize hey this is a lot of food, and thus I can't eat 3 meals a day, but at Mcdonald's, or some other fast food place, they eat there 3 meals anyway. If you get the Extra Value Meal, only eat 2 meals a day, or that meal and a snack. There is nothing wrong with a 1000 calorie meal as Chili's, Applebee's, and so on are serving the same amount of calories, but to add more meals to that meal just isn't going to keep a person from gaining weight. Why do you think the Extra Value Meals have gotten more expensive. Aren't they like $5 each? I don't know because I don't like Mcdonald's fries, and I usually have water at Mcdonald's. Even at Wendy's, or Burger King I never get Extra Value Meals.

With how our world is (Restaurants, Buffets, and Fast Food), 3 meals a day thing should be changed by someone higher up to tell people, hey you can't always eat 3 meals a day.

I don't eat vegetables. Meat is the way to go. Soda for breakfast-dinner.

I am a taste man, possibly a Super Taster. If it doesn't taste good, it's not going into my body. That is why I'm getting this:

But that's also why I got this:

I'll let you know if it works.
