Hmm, no bids and less than a day left. If people didn't want to pay that much for it at the auction who would want to now plus the cost of shipping and handling?

Almost $9,000 for a SIGN when Little Dipper went for $33,000?

So lemme get this straight. i could have gone to this auction, bought little dipper, and just to get people angry, destroy it? Cool.

If it walks like socialist, quacks like socialist, smells like a socialist, .... it's a socialist. Hope, and change we can believe in.

This is kind of funny. They bought the sign just to sell it, and than they can't get any bids to sell it. It reminds of the people that bought the Skyscraper from Gaugea Lake, and they were selling it on ebay.

^It really is hit or miss selling stuff. I am actually shocked it didn't sell as the sign would have looked great in a kiddie section of a large park.

Ha, he deserves it. Buying it only to sell it when there were people out there that wanted it. (for a lower price, though)

Speaking of the sign, I wanted to mention that I drove by the Kiddieland site yesterday, and the sign was still up.

There is also quite a number of buildings on the property.

Wasn't there some kind of requirement that the property had to be empty by 01/01/2010? Knowing that it is now the 3rd, makes me wonder what happened with that, unless I'm not remembering correctly.

^Right before the last ride on the carousel to close the park, I was taking photos of the train. The owner was talking about the park as said they had until 12/31/09 to remove everything. So that was the date I heard

I imagine those buildings are just going to be demolished. They probably don't want to waste the money to demolish them, themselves. The Merry-Go-Round most likely is gone. It's just people can't see it. I passed Kiddieland also, and the black electronic sign is off of the Kidideland Sign, but yes the big sign is still there. There is like a cherry-picker thing near that Kiddieland sign though. The Scooters letters are off the building.
