Sheraton Arlington Heights and Coco Key waterpark closing.

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

And the hits keep coming. At least Key Lime Cove is staying open. I feel bad for the employees of this massive hotel complex. The waterpark was only added a few years ago. Hopefully they can find an investor to purchase this.

I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

This is the one with the slides coming out of the building right? I've seen it before when I was on 55.

No, that's Key Lime Cove. Unless they both do, I've never been to CoCoKey.

No, you can't see either complex from 55.

You can see Sheraton and CoCoKey from Rte 53 and Euclid ave. (Which is right next door to the Arlington racetrack).

You can see Keylime Cove from I-94.

In my opinion, the reason for it closing is the fact that they put a waterpark in a hotel near Arlington Racehorse track. I really doubt those people care about going to a waterpark. They might go to another hotel just because you might be paying more just because of the waterpark. Another thing I felt was that it was on a road that was off the beaten path. Yes, Schaumburg isn't that far away, but I feel it would have done so much better on Golf Road right near the mall. Thirdly, from someone else that told me is that the hotel inside (NOT the waterpark part) hasn't been renovated in a very long time. You are paying some good money, and it's not updated. For the off-beaten path thing again, they had light up really tall sculptures around the racetrack thing going on during Christmas (you paid money), and they cancelled that now.

I also felt that say Coco Key Chicago is mis-leading. Coco Key near Schaumburg might have helped it a little more, but that's the least of the problems.

Closing december 28th? Wouldn't you imagine that they'd at least have a lot of families staying for New Years
Eve?
