Man, my eyes are really fooling me. I thought the trains kind of looked curved on the bottom.

They're not Chang's, that's quite clear! They are Demon's yellow train, obliviously.

There are several locations where the trains are stored, typically either in the ride storage building, central maintenance mall, or at the ride.

The demon train pictured looks like it is in the central maintenance mall. The only ride that typically doesn't have its trains removed is S:UF and sometimes Batman.

No, the park doesn't really need a new roller coaster. I and a lot of people here would really like one though. The park has a lot of roller coasters and a variety of types. Really, you have a flying, an inverted, a stand up, a wooden racing, a standard wooden, a steel hyper, impulse, a steel looper, and a few wild mice. Last season, the park had 12 coasters (one of them a kiddie coaster). That's a lot for an amusement park. It's not Cedar Point or Magic Mountain,so get over it.

What the park could really use are some good flat rides that actually have a thrill to them. Something like a screaming swing would be really awesome to see at Great America.

On the Chang topic, again, it has not been announced as someone else pointed out. It could have just been that it was easiest to store the ride at SFGAm right now and it could be on it's way somewhere else. I'm not getting excited until it's actually announced.

I thought someone already said that SFGAm is not the closest to SFKK so the storing thinbg is B.S. Either way, I do think they will be giving their most profitable park a nice gift in 2011.

Which is why Twisted Twins trains are stored there.

^^ We've BEEN the most profitable park. But, you know, I think that number will drop if we don't get something NEW!

We've had the same collection of COASTERS for the past how many years? We're not talking about a wild mouse, or a Vekoma Roller Skater. I'm talking COASTERS. Families were already bought by Wiggles World, do we need another attraction to get, the oh, 3 families who haven't come to GAm for their fun? All I'm saying is that if they focus on families only, their going to loose us, and If I'm correct Singles/Enthusiasts/Couples w/o children comprise of at least 50% of our attendance. I've had it with SF's BS! They unveiled SFKK's gift because people were angry about Chang, but we've lost 2 large attractions over the years, I think we should know if we're getting Chang/GL/Bizarro/WETF!

With SFMM getting Batman and Goliath repainted makes me jealous because Iron Wolf, Demon, and Verticle Velocity. Yes, I know we got Raging Bull repainted, but SFMM got Goliath repainted which is a much bigger roller coaster.

If only BTR wasn't covered. Screamscape reported on their twitter that BTR at SFGAM is getting repainted light blue and black again.

What the hell are you talking about? The only two BTRS mentioned within the last two weeks are SFOG and SFMM.

Well. If rather than jumping to conclusions, maybe you should have looked at what they wrote. On their TWITTER!

^ Well, I guess I assumed going back 2 weeks was far enough. Woops  That said, I don't buy that rumor. I can think of six roller coasters at SFGAm (Whizzer, Demon, Eagle, Wolf, V2, and SUF) that need paint more than BTR. Plus I think blue is an absolutely ridiculous color for Batman. I know many people think that about the yellow, but it makes sense since the logo is yellow and black

^plus it was painted yellow in 2004. Other coasters need paint more than that one. Again, it hasn't been confirmed.

Yeah, but why does S:UF need paint, sure it's faded, but it's not as bad as others. I think it's hard to paint Whizzer because of the "swampy" area.

I'm just saying it needs paint more than Batman. SUF is horribly faded. As far as Whizzer, that "swamp" can be drained if needed (it was drained during Fright Fest 2008 for Buccaneer Battle construction).

The Whizzer "swamp" is connected (in some cases with underground pipes) to many other water features in the park. The creek over by Mooseburger Lodge and Looney Tooter connected to a small creek by Deja Vu's line before connecting to the creek by Great America Hotdog. That creek goes under the Hometown/County Fair bridge and around Orbit, then under the Hometown/Southwest bridge and feeds into the Whizzer "swamp". The part by Deja Vu's queue is the part that was causing flooding issues in the Buccaneer Battle construction site.

Here is the thing. There is no 1-day park competition in the Chicago area outside of Indiana Beach. That is a huge thing for families with a weekend trip being expensive if you have 2 or more kids. With the loose of Kiddieland/addition of Little Dipper, there is a whole new market for the park to exploit. The park basically have a license to print money right now, new additions or not.

Theres no question to me SFGAm DESTROYED Kiddieland in terms of competition. There was no competition. With the addition of HH, Wiggles, TDK, and BB why would anyone with kids want to go to Kiddieland other than SFGAm? While they may get bashed on this board with frequency, all of those things are far superior in quality to anything found at Kiddieland. The only reason I think people would take their kids there is because they live in the area or cant afford SFGAm, but if the kids are bugging them to go to Six Flags instead typically they will.

If SFGAm could keep all their kids rides open, in my opinion it would be one of the best parks for kids out there.

Actually, don't you think the profit would go DOWN if we got something new and expensive. The number of people in the park aren't dropping, so your theory makes no sense at all
