Sir, predicting something and actually RUNNING a theme park are two completely different things.
Have a take and don't suck, it's the Jim Rome Show!

Trust me I have what it takes to run the park, just as many other people on this forum do. You just have to be smart with money and make wise moves.

^ There is a big difference in handling the money your mom gives you in your piggy bank for your weekly allowance, and running a theme park.

Ask the people at Hard Rock Park how well they did at running a theme park.

Yeah, why don't you go ahead and copy and paste your resume here big boy so we can see your exceptional expertise in this field of employment that puts guys like Shapiro to shame. Please entertain us with that. Do you even have a resume?

When you decide to wake up and leave Fantasyland, let us know master!!!!!!

Indeed! While I did enjoy the rant and all (entertainment makes the off-season go by faster), any updates on Chang? I have been keeping an eye on the Village of Gurnee meeting agendas, and nothing has been submitted yet by the park on that regard.

Hey Galvan! Would it be possible to have a Holiday party at your house? You could invite us all over to check out the pieces of track in your backyard!

 I can't believe I missed this.

And I'm pretty sure I can run a theme park as well. I've been playing RCT for years. That makes me qualified, right?

ChiTown, I highly agree with you. I got your back on this one.

Because of the financial situation, that is probably why the Six Flags Gift program is being brought back, that's IF the chang rumors are true.

No, that award goes to Hitler =D

I was waiting for someone to say this :)

It's obvious people are going to expect a major new ride, SFGAm has broken the record for worlds tallest/fastest coaster three times (Tidal Wave, Eagle, Shockwave) and has added first of its kind rides like BTR then through the Balley years they added coasters almost on a yearly basis. While its nice to have new coasters all the time I do think that the park renovations they have been doing after the addition of SUF were needed much more than a major new thrill ride (Mardi Gras, HH, Wiggles).

That being said, Chang is a huge ride and once it opens I expect everybody here demanding a big new ride to shut up. Thank you :)

That's all I have at this point. Really not much else to take pictures of, as you cannot get real close to the park.

If I was better at night shots, I would try to get one of STT lit up with the lights in the shape of a tree, or the tree and lights on Eagle. I'll see if I can try to do that a day this week coming home from work. I don't own a tri-pod, which is what you would need to do it right.

So, I can take some, but not going to say they will look good! :D

Chang cannot officially start construction until board approves it. If the rumors on it being rehabbed or whatever including getting sit down floorless seats it will be a while still. expect more on Chang in spring and summer. They have more than a year before it should open. I expect work to begin (Now that ssa is gone) by early summer like June. It will be fun next season getting so close to the construction zone.

On Facebook they have a pic of Demon telling us what they do to the trains during the off-season. WHAT is the train next to it?

I doubt they will start any sort of real construction before next Sept or Oct. I'd guess they will apply for zoning approval next Sept. That's usually when they do that sort of thing.

I mean like land clearing/preparation and all that. You could be right though as raging Bull did not start till September 1998.

Okay people, STOP assuming that Chang is coming to SFGAm! Nothing has been confirmed, and Six Flags at this point probably has no idea what they're doing with it. Just because SSA is officially "gone" doesn't mean they're preparing for Chang. Also, the train next to the other train in that picture would be Demon's yellow train.

U honestly think THEY don't know? There are MORE signs pointing to Chang than not, time to accept it. These things get planned WAY in advance. I'm sure the people at SFKK knew Chang was going before it was confirmed in September.

hey I don't pay attention to Demon that much as it is not one of my faves and that pic is not crystal clear. So where are the trains kept?

I am kind of upset though that I wont be getting any new credits from this park in a while :?

But I guess it's cool that they are making somewhat of an effort to get the thrill seeker demographic back in the park.

Let's face it.

We're either getting Chang, or not.

But if we are getting Chang, does that mean that we'll be giving something up? I'm not really affirmed to the "Ride Rotation Program".

Yes, very, very clear. In the picture, I don't personally think the yellow train is Demon's, nor does it look like it's Chang's. What other ride could have a yellow train?
(sings)If you want to be my Chang-y, doesn 't matter if your black or white, or brown, or blue, or green, or red, or orange, or mauve, or yellow...

No, it's not Demon's yellow train, Arrow is building a new coaster at Great America. Isn't it obvious?
