Amazing to think the only piece of ride merchandise left at that park is an old Thunder Run postcard.

Actually, I think it would've been funnier to put the Chang logo right on the front of the dipper train

Well, if you're talking about the blog, he reported there was nothing new after I know for a fact a bunch of new stuff showed up. I'm guessing they are storing most of it on the berm on the access road on the east side of the park that isn't all that visible from the employee lot.

Depending on how much is on the berm, and where on the berm it is, you may be able to see it from South Park. Depending on what I have going on today, I may take a drive down there and see what there is to see. I'm also wondering if any work has started to remove SSA. I know a week before Thanksgiving the building and the shuttle were still there.

Problem with going to South Park is there is no place to park your car. It is back in a subdivision, with no parking lot on a dead end street with no turn-around either. There is also no real area to pull off the road. I know why the builders of the subdivision did this, as the park was designed to be used by those in that subdivision only (walk to it, or bike to it). I know at one time it had some playground equipment there, but I think that's gone now. The only real value the park has to those who do not live in that subdivision is to spy on what the park is doing, which was never the real goal of that park! But, it does work out for people like us.

Their definitely going to be a bit more careful of where they offload anything due to the previous leak.

Yeah that was a huge blow to the company....

Seriously, this isn't Disney, it's Six Flags. Not everything is top secret.

Hah.
I just think that they wouldn't want this to get out to the gp to soon. Sure when they break ground it'll be aparent but 1 year in advance?

I just think Shapiro has some sort of brain... Oh I say silly things.

like a day before the last blog update I know of several people who said that there is a near constant stream of trucks going in and out of SFGAm, so all the stuff they're carrying has to be going somewhere.

Also I doubt SFGAm cares about a few pics on coaster nerd sites, not like it's being broadcast on the news. Even then, this is a huge new attraction for the future, the park would have no real interest in wanting to cover it up or keep it a total secret, this is the start of publicity. Unless this stuff makes it into the mainstream press, I doubt SFGAm would really care. Also if what it says in the blog is true, then those pics were taken from the driveway which is not restricted. Only thing the park can do is ask people there to leave.

^ makes sense.

OFF-TOPIC: What are those things atop STT? And if I'm not mistaken, I did see something happening around the parking lot in front of HH, last weekend. Anyone see it to?

^^ in answer to your off-topic post, the "things" on top of STT are Christmas lights. The park has been putting them up for as long as I can remember (20 years at least). They should be on a night here very soon. The park has also been known to put a small Christmas tree w/lights on it on the helix of America Eagle. Have not driven by yet to see if that is in place yet.

Ok....back ON topic: :-) While I did go to Gurnee today, it was not until about an hour ago, so there was no point in me going over by the park to see what was going on. I'll see how this week goes, and pass along what (if anything) I may see.

Well, over at SFKK Online, someone went by SFKK and absolultely everything from Chang is gone from the property. So either it is here and somewhere that can't be seen from off property, or it is at an unknown location.

Well, according the the pics we've seen online, there is no sign of Chang's track at SFGAm, just stairs and a support....

Isn't it possible that the supports are coming here, and the track is going to B&M since that's all they need to rehab, and all they'll do to the supports is paint them darker blue (for green lantern?).

What is everyone's obsession with "OMG TEH TRACKS HAZ TO GO BACK 2 B&M FORZ TEH REHAB"? This is a 12 year old B&M we're talking about, not a wooden coaster, or a 31 year old Schwarzkopf (see Shock Wave at SFOT). All the track needs is paint, and SFGAm is easily capable of that. Besides, B&M doesn't even make the track. B&M track is fabricated at a plant in southern Ohio.

^Uh, maybe they're trying to store it somewhere where it won't be seen, and can be painted at the same time? Plus, if it is painted indoors, while it's already taken apart, it will be easier to paint as well.

^ Well obviously they're going to paint it before they reassemble it. As for storing it indoors, they have more important things to spend money on than hiding coaster track from a few ACErs
