i dont think they would have any where to put it. If you look at total trackage CHANG would be massive. Even something as small as Spacely's has a large area of space. The SWF area and great american raceways would be too small for a ride this big. and i dont think they have any plans of doing anything on that large a scale.
Great America always seem to find space where you would never think something would fit. The two that come to mind are: 1. Whirligig replaced from it original spot and replace with Z-Force then Iron Wolf 2. Tidal Wave replaced by Batman the Ride I know there are a lot small foot print, but what they replaced was also small.
They can fit Chang in multiple places (Carousel Plaza / SSA most likely), but they could also put it where the Demon is and SWF was. They can also have it go over the train behind the Whizzer and then stretch to where SSA is.
Also, no one knows for sure where Chang will be going, but to move it From SFKK to SFGAM unloading it all and then reloading it again on trucks a year later just to move it somewhere else costs money and doesn't really make financial sense
Stop being ridiculous. They would not send it to illinois then send it to another park and set it up all by 2011 when the ride is not even 100% down at SFKK. what is so hard to believe we will finally get a major ride since 2003?
On the way out soon: GAR (gas prices) SSA Demon Whizzer
^ If by GAR you mean Great American Raceway, I don't think so. SFGAm just purchased most (if not all) of the Gas Cars from Kiddieland yesterday at the auction. I don't think they would be looking to retire that ride in the near future if they just spent $ to get more cars.

Apparently you do not follow Six Flags. Look at the various coaster stored at parks only to move to others.

And since when does SFGAm have enough room to store all of Chang?

I think I might have found a hint that we could be getting Chang,
SFGAm curreently has 12 roller coasters, in 2010 we will be getting Little Dipper which will be our 13th coaster but, the press release that Six Flags sent out about Little Dipper said Little Dipper will be our 14th coaster. That means one coaster is missing, so did SFGAm miscount or could this be a hint for Chang.

Wait, Little Dipper?
What did I miss?

Well besides missing the headline on the front page of this site and the 2 page thread started by BP/19 entitled SFGAm buys Little Dipper from Kiddieland, you also missed numerous TV and newspaper reports.

Out of all the big parks we have not gotten a big ride addition the longest and we have the second best attendance and most profit each season. Those parks would not know what to do with Chang like SFKK.
It's possible that Chang might not be installed at Great America & is just here for storage, but I highly doubt it. The park lacks a Giant looper, & has lost 2 of It's Major Coasters in the last 8 years (Shockwave & DejaVu) Plus if they do end up installing Chang & keep Iron Wolf, they could easily market the fact that they are the only park in the world with 2 stand up coasters (Which would also draw more attention to Iron Wolf).
Probably is photoshopped, but back in the late 90's, they had all sorts of merchandise for Chang, just about every kind of shirt, magnets, glassware, they really had the whole 9 yards.

I use PhotoShop and I can tell you, in my opinion, that the logo is edited. I say that because the logo does not Look like it is contoured to the fabric. Plus, polo shirts like those almost never have logos on them
