Upon entering Holiday World you are greeted with Cedar Point like hospitality (although I really enjoyed the free parking!)
First ride of the day was Raven. It was good, but definitely not the best coaster there or a top 10...in my opinion of course.
When the ride starts it goes through the storage track area, giving you a taunting view of the other train their not running after you waited in line.
Next ride The Legend of course!
But it was broke
After a little bit they got it running
Amazingly realistic theming, I felt like I was back in elementary school NO SWEARING NO RUNNING NO PICKING YOUR NOSE NO ENTERING THE BUILDING DURING RECESS WHEN THE TEACHER IS HAVING RELATIONS WITH THE GYM TEACHER
Free drinks
Its Christmas! You know what that means
Praise Jesus!
More Christmas theming
This coaster somehow manages to defy the laws of everything and is insane
You can put your stuff in these fancy lockers and keep the key around your wrist while on the ride
Somehow Voyage gets faster and faster as it goes on. The first few hills trick you into thinking the ride will be overrated, then it grabs you by the balls and kicks your a** for the next 2 minutes
Gobbler Getaway is by far the lamest dark ride i've ever been on.
You think New England's SLC is rougher then T2?! I actually thought New England's was on the smoother side, and well T2 is the worst SLC i've been on...
2. you have to ride Raven at night in pitch darkness to really get it, also after the unannounced re profiling it's not quite what it used to be.
3. SLC roughness is proportional to when maintenance was done last. For T2 I've ride rides on it that were beyond brutal, and I've had extremely smooth rides on it. Same for Geauga. IF you catch one within a day or 2 of adjustments being made it can be quite smooth and enjoyable, otherwise the same ride can be a horrible mess.

I'm curious as to why you even wasted your time at SFKK? Wait let me guess, it's so you can get a season pass cheaper than your homepark, right?
SFKK stold our pumpkin!! I'm reporting them to the police. lol
How does Holiday World get what best customer service? They run one train, and than put bags into the bins when the one train is out and running. Running 2 trains is customer service in my opinion, and not putting bags in bins. Customer service for rides is having people not wait longer than they are supposed to. If a ride has 2 trains, and there are enough people in line (plus let people reride if they are able to, and want to), that to me is customer service.
The Six Flags way for at least a couple years for the lazy river is let's wait until people buy the tubes, and than when we know they they bought our blue tubes, let's put more free tubes in the lazy river. That way we get more money. That's not customer service at all! I think the reason why Disney gets so highly rated in customer service is because they have fast pass for everyone. I think without fast pass altogether is much better however. I think fast pass makes the line much longer for everyone else (whether free or not!). See, but the thing with Disney is that you are paying for the fast pass. If Six Flags charged more, than maybe they would do something like Disney does.
For Holiday World, you are paying for free parking, and free drinks, but you just assume it's free. Is Holiday World really worth $40? Come on, Kiddieland was around $20, and you get free drinks, and free parking. SFGAm has spent tons and tons more money than Holiday World has, and in my opinion you are paying for that stuff that you assume to be free. What, SFGAm has been around $35 admission with online prices this year even.

So, BP/19, how did The Voyage stack up against El Toro?
Toro 1, Voyage 2

I used my Magic Mountain season pass and didnt buy a new one because I dont plan on visiting any SF parks next year (maybe SFOG, but I didnt feel like spending more on uncertainty). I went there this year because I have never been there before and wanted to make sure I go in case the park gets Geauga Laked.

Its a small family owned park in ho-dunk Indiana, I wasnt really expecting 2 train ops (although a couple years ago they bought a second for Raven, Legend has always had 2, and Voyage has 3). I think the park was maybe a bit busier than they thought considering it was closing day and the weather was better than expected (though the lines certainly werent long). Putting bags in the bins doesnt have anything to do with why they win best service. They have free parking, free drinks, and treat enthusiasts very well at the events.
So there was little to no theming for their FF? No Scareactors or anything?
I saw a few, they werent proffesionally done or anything just people wearing torn up cloths with what looked crayon drawn on their face (im personally not a huge halloween event fan so their FF is not something that I was really looking forward to there and the lack of it just made a funny segment in the video).
Is Holiday World really worth $40?
I will admit Holiday World isnt really my kind of park. For the most part small "rides on grass field" type parks are pretty boring to me, but I had a good time at HW (although the park would definitley be lacking without Voyage, to me it wouldnt be worth a return trip before they built that ride).
Hehe my turn As Bradley didnt mention, I went to trip with him, and got my season pass at SFKK Holiday World is a nice park, but its missing a lot. Did they really won customer service? Are you serious? Personally SFKK gave me better service then Holiday World.
Customer Service: HW- Employees were not talking to eachother at all, and not even between guests, no spiels, no nothing. Not even pumping up guests with excitment. I was very suprised about that. SFKK- I couldnt believe that this park did better serivice then HW. A front gate lady was very nice and nicely directed me to season pass center. On the mouse ride the girl was interacting with me, later she offered us a free skycoaster if we throw a frisbee in the box. I heard few ride ops, like on breakdance getting people excited and stuff. And all employees were friendly, smiling and talking to eachother. Something I seriously did not see at HW, not found a single happy employee.
Landscaping: HW- such a failer, grass, grass, grass, bush, grass, grass... and some trees SFKK- maybe not as great as SFGAm, but they did better then I thought they would. Very nice landscaping. Maybe not everywhere, but noticable.
Rides: HW- has Voyage and SFKK doesnt. I will even out this two parks, with HW slightly better then SFKK.
HW- was kind of disapoitment for me, because I thought it would look better. its gettign lots of new expansions recently, so lets hope it gets better. Lack of themeing of areas.
And the last thing... El toro and Voyage are two different types of coasters. They are both great, but deliver different kind of excitment. For me El Toro wins, I just that type of rides better, but I very love Voyage as well. Both top "1".
Six Flags Ameirca as the number 1 park at SFI.... this is JOKE!

Holiday World wins best customer service awards because they suck up to coaster enthusiast and they are a small park. It is the same reason Beech Bend Park wins the award yet they have average service at best. Throw some free swag at people at events and you will awards.
^ That's pretty much the same logic as to why Cedar Point wins best amusement park every year...if they shove enough "free" stuff and really play up the "extremely nice" card to the right group of people then it isn't too hard to figure out where certian parks stand amongst others.
The thing with Cedar Point though is that it has tons of roller coasters, and flats. It's not even one sided. I think Magic Mountain is a better coaster park, but I don't think it's that strange for Cedar Point to win best amusement park. You go why isn't Disney winning? Well, who are most of Disney people? They are families with kids. I don't think the kids are going to vote on this type of stuff.
I think Cedar Point should be in the top so much amusement park, but theme park would a different story for many people. I personally like SFOT, SFMM, SFGAm, Dorney Park, and so on as better parks than Busch Gardens Tampa, Universal, or Disney (either resort - any park), but I'm not in the majority.
