Hopefully that link works. But when the 2 Great Americas were built, we got The Lobster which was a Schwarzkopf Monster III, PGA got an Eylerly Monster that is no longer there. It's come up for sale from a carnival operator on the west coast and there is just about the entire history of the ride in the description.

that is the proper way to set it up. Without those blocks the cars would smash into the ground. Kiddielands Polyp was up on blocks. Was probably on blocks at PGA.

I don't like the Monster versions (either one). They are boring in my opinion. I like the Spiders, Octopus, or Polyp much, much better.

Some Monsters are ok. I rode Lakemonts this summer and I'm pretty sure it's not intentional, but the ride is entirely out of level. It makes for insane spinning.
