10/10/09 FF.....quite cold

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Jackluver18 on October 11th, 2009, 12:42 am
Got to the park around 10:15 saw Columbia's pond is still black and STT looks no comment, got my halloween makeup done and then headed for Whizzer aka Swamp Thing. I love this ride, cool effects with the swamp thing at the end and the detour signs. Next was Bull but as soon as I went to get on it broke...and no I didn't break it. So I went to Viper instead and had a great ride on Viper. After Viper was Demon, had the music and the fog through the tunner by the corkscrews very neat :). Next was SUF had about a 10 minute wait there not too bad. As I left, it started to get a bit more crowded so then I went on V2 and waited 45 for front row. Then took a break to go see LAFF which by the way was quite good, I loved the jokes very very nice to this years cast, amazing. Then decided to go through Necro yes I went through Necro by myself......twice. Yeah that was quite interesting and as I left Necro, I walked through the clowns area, got the living daylights scared out of me by one of them....not cool. Then me and Demon_07 met up and we had dinner at Mooseburger and then went in Cell Block which was pretty cool and Necro again, Necro had a long line but Cell block didn't. Cell Block was pretty cool actually and then we went on Viper again and Demon again and Whizzer again then we went on TT2 which was cool and for a few minutes we hung out in Tinsle scaring a few people *snickers* so for the last ride of the night was......Revy. I had never been Revy and I will never go on Revy ever again, I didn't like it, it scared the daylights out of me. So then we went and watched parade and I headed home. I had a great time, even though it was quite cold and quite a few people there, it was a lot of fun. Can't wait to go back in 2 weeks. will add photos and movies on facebook later. Also I forgot to add that I saw a girl in a Teletubbie costume, I thought we weren't suppose to wear costumes to the park. It wasn't a little kid, it was a teenager. Another thing too I noticed was that when I came in through the back of the employee entrance, that Powerdive wasn't there. what happened to it??

Totals

Whizzer-3
Viper-2
V2-1
SUF-1
Necro-3
Cell block-1
TT2-1
Demon-2

Total-14 not bad for a cold and crowded day oh and to add a note STT and Train were both closed

I always see guests wearing costumes around this time of year. I never heard of a rule saying you can't wear costumes to the park. Also, when I went on Iron Wolf last weekend, I'm pretty sure I saw Power Dive, I just don't remember where. Then again, that was last weekend, who knows what they may have done with it since then.

What did the park do to Whizzer as part of the Swamp Thing redo for FF?????

When I went friday they never opened the ride(im sure to save money with no concern for the guests who did visit).

With Swamp thing, they had detour signs, green lights and at the end the Predator statue was covered in moss. I only thought little kids were allowed to wear costumes??

There is a dress code on the back of the fright fest pamphlet. Also for whizzer, from they que, they had a like a scientist lad table set up.

STT is closed because that guy is living there...or so they want us to believe...So I assume nobody went on BB this weekend? Must be freezing up there in Gurnee.

Costumes are allowed but can be denied depending on how Six Flags deems them appropriate.

My guess with the costumes is that they don't care if you wear a nice costume, but not a scary one to act like it's one of their characters. Thus, Teletubbies wouldn't scare anyone. Well, they might but that's for a different reason.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"

One thing with costumes, you absolutely positively cant wear a mask or any sort of face makeup for 2 reasons.

1. If someone in a mask commits a crime of some sort, it makes it really hard to identify them.

2. So the GP cant go backstage posing as a costumed character.

So if anyone plans to dress up, nothing covering your face.
