With past experiences with Fright Fests I purchased a Flash Pass...big mistake...all rides were mostly walk-ons and did not even need it. I guess the threat of rain in the forecast made a lot of people stay away. Ok now on to the trip report...
Got to the park before open...hung around the front waiting for the park to open, then headed to get my Flash Pass.
After that my cousin and I hit up Rue Le Morgue.,,awesome as usual...sucks that Condor was closed...stupid spot for Larry if you ask me.
Next was the Dark Knight, Monster Mash, and Batman. After Batman I decided to piss away $11 on a locker since I had so much crap in my pockets. The system on the lockers malfunctioned so we waited about 20 minutes until someone came over and fixed it...
Next up was Fiddler's Flung, Black Widow, Ricoslay, Raging Bull, and Terror Twister 2. TT2 kicked ass!! It felt like you had the ride you yourself...loved the new music and the additional lights.
After TT2 we hit up Viper and then we had lunch. Still don't understand why drinks can't be included with the meals at the park,
After lunch we walked around and did Rue Le Morgue and the Dark Knight again. We also sat through that painful bloopers thing...sucks the Haunted Castle wasn't up and running this year.
After the bloopers we saw LAFF. It was really good. We also saw the Dead Man's Party which was good also.
Cell Block A was amped up from last year and Necropolis was good as always, for me.
After watching the Human Freak show we decided our day was over. All in all it was a good day. I just wish that they could do more to up the fear factor. I also was disappointed because they weren't playing any of the Halloween theme song at the front of the park like always but it was nice to hear it when the park went to it's "chills by night" thing, Here are some ideas to up the fear factor:
Have bodies in the pond up front Have things jump out of the big black pots that are by the carousel. That would scare people. Bring back Haunted Castle Actually put things in the Seven Sins Cemetary that represent the 7 sins. I don't get these things. More scare-actors out and about. Run Eagle backwards More decorations,

I think it's the ECONOMY that's drawing people AWAY from the park. It's abnormal how the first day of Fright Fest can NOT be jam-packed. That's what I had in past experiences. Perhaps next weekend, it'll make up for yesterday's attendance dud.
Low attendance is usually not a good sign, which means the park will be making less money, and less money is unhealthy to the company. Adding those STUPID advertisements only worsened things up, because that costs money, and it costs money to run the new HD-TV's in all the attractions.
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.
Hear ye, hear ye: "After 45 years, Six Flags has stopped smoking."

Yeah, that's going to take getting used to..When I walked in the park myself yesterday, i was expecting to hear the themed music too as it seems really awkward when you first walk in especially if you've been going to FF for years.

Why, do you want it more packed? Wait in 2 more weeks, you will get your wish. It's always emptier the first weeks of October. Where have you guys been? On top of it, the area I was at it was raining on and off for a good part of the day.

It isn't mostly about the cold. It's more about the rain for Sat in my opinion. It's always colder during October time. Come early, it's going to less packed. The closer you get to Halloween, the worse it is. There was a time when it didn't even open this early. It opened next week all the time.

Weather has Been Bad Almost All Year. From 60s in June to 50s in May. If Shapiro Said a Drop in Attendance was Because of Weather, I would Believe him "This Time."

The problem with the movie is it is an edited version. The real version is around an hour long and is actually really good. There is even a DVD of the film with 3-d glasses, but is now out of print.
The other major problem last year was the audio was off-sync from the video by around 2 seconds.
