Fright Fest 10/3/09 Opening Day

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby jm2775 on October 3rd, 2009, 4:15 pm
Just got back home for a little lunch / dinner break from the park. It was completely dead. Nearly every ride was a walk-on with empty stations everywhere. I expect it to be a little more busy tonight, but the weather is not great here in Gurnee. Anyways, onto some pictures.

Let's play a game of guess that control panel!

The sad part is I still remember how to reset that ride... Had to reset it a few too many times..... Stupid computer...

Why didn't they cover Viper's sign and put the Snakes on a Train sign over it like TT2 and Ricoslay?

King Chaos did run a different cycle, but also felt different from last years fright fest. Not saying it was, just felt different.

Went today and yes both rides have the same cycle as last year and might I say Revy is pretty intense and very fun with this cycle.

Swamp Thing (Whizzer) has some fog, a dead end sign, a detour sign, 3 green lights, green light bulbs in the station, 2 mini strobes in the booths, and the Predator statue they used to have last year by Iron Wolf, but they put some different dressing on him. He has a green strobe at night on him.

Near the line, they have the 2 Do Not Cross things from Batman, some eyes that light up on the ground, and a table with some chemistry type of stuff.

They painted the box by the Dark Knight by the way to not green, and blue. It was Deja Vu's box for taking tickets. Boo. More things are the Superman statue looks painted, the Superman logo's on the station look new, or just painted, and they put black wooden things for the gates for Batman the Ride.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
