We got there before opening, so I sucked down a few beers and then waited for this ride to open.

Solar Flare is a Moser Hoppla. Its pretty much a combination of a topspin a rock-o-plane and a skyscraper. You go over the top very fast with moments of floater and ejector air. Not to mention, the ceiling gives a great face and foot chopper as you are spinning around. Also you can control the spin of your seat by pressing a button which locks the seat.

Heres the "death" loop on Mindbender

Its funny, when you first walk into the mall your first impression is "HOLY S**T"! The ride is HUGE!

For some reason, the building makes it look much shorter then it really is.

The whole ride is full over CRAZY head choppers.

When I first looked at it I was like "oh, the loops dont look that small". But after my first ride I was shocked by how many G's this ride pulls.

Leakage

During the whole ride you just keep diving in and out of its own structure.

Here you can see how small the third loop really is.

They had 2 trains on the track, 2 trains in transfer, and 1 (although I really think theres two) being ripped apart. They must do a constant refurb on the trains because of the constant stress on the cars...and because of the accident.

Here is the ice rink inside the mall.

Heres the pirate bay area. They used to have a submarine ride. Now they just have bumper boats.

I would love to come here in the dead of winter.

Heres the world water park...VERY nice!

The french section of the mall. And a mini golf course underneath.

China Town, The smell of raw meat and fish smells up the whole place.

The whole train is made up of "front cars" for strength.

Theres the backwards car. For some reason the backwards car has NO leg room. We could barely get into the car because the car was so small. It was so pinned into the car that it took me about 2 mins the twisting and turning to get out of it.

The bumber car floor which has no reinforced sides. I crashed into the side on purpose and the whole siding moved...then got yelled at

This was the kids section with playground equipment....you can also see Galaxy Orbiter.

Swing of the Century

The top spin and the family bounce rides were closed. I also found them on the ride sales website. So they be interested in selling them. If you look at the history of the park they have had A LOT of ride switches during the years. They used to have a 1st Gen free fall, zipper, Intamin Looping Star Ship, Music Express, and many others.

Best spinning coaster ever. It kicks the crap out of the other models.

Here is the auto sled. Which I think is better then Orange Streak at MOA. Its cools, it has it fast moments, but it also has straight sections where it cruises over and around the whole theme park.

I think I rode Solar Flare about 12 times during the day. Its with out a doubt my favorite flat out there. Way better then any Top Scan, Top Spin or Tango.

Here you can kind of see the kite/flying seats.

The closed Family Bounce.

Here was the AWESOME dark ride. You went way under into the basement (where the 1st Gen bottom section was).

...Just image riding in the back row of BTR during getting pulled over the top of the loop. Now imagine that intensity for about 5-6 seconds during the 2 loops. And then about 6 other parts of the ride with even higher G force.

This pic would have been better if I got the backwards car in the "please face forward sign".

Galaxy Orbiter after the 4 lift during the figure 8 helix.

Gate for the bouncer wasn't close, I could have just walked right up on the platform if I wanted to (I really regret not doing it).

Back in the day they would run all 5 four car trains on here. And because back then they didn't have seatbelts or OTSRs, loading and unloading was very fast.

This lower level is how you get to the space shot and Mindbender.

This thing was great. The whole ride is just a constant foot chopper.

Airtime, strobes, and an on ride photo.

Another thing was is that they back stack with 2 trains. They have 4 operators and they load a train send it, wait for it to come back, unload it, then they load the train in front of that. It also takes them about 5 mins to dispatch a train because the OTSRs are manually lowered by the ops.

Also, it was a lottery for the back car pretty much. It was the first 12 people in line...no airgates or anything.

Heres one of the "cruising" sections of Autosled.

Galaxy Orbiter has 4 mini booster lift hills, and you go in and out of different rooms.

Heres there mascot they added after they switched the park from "Fantasyland" to "Galaxyland".

Just an overall awsome ride. The dive drop are great and theres airtime all over the place.

During the loops....its just a giant blur.

"UUUGHHHH"

The bunny hill here as some crazy (Intamin) like airtime.

The ride also has one of the most forceful helix's...better then Goliaths.

The first sections of Galaxy Orbiter

We left around 6:00. And drove around Edmonton. Edmonton is A LOT like Chicago. Same size, similar skyline, ect.

Then we stopped at the Worlds Largest Egg 45 mins from Edmonton.
