August 15th.....Hot/humid

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Jackluver18 on August 16th, 2009, 12:45 am
So I decided to drive up to the park today. Got to the park around 9:45, watched Spirit of America for the first time this season. Waited by Hometown for 15 minutes, noticed right away there were loads of people heading straight for the waterpark to wait for it to open so I decided to go for Whizzer right away. Got front row on Whizzer and then decided to head over to Viper. So far lines weren't that bad but the highest they got to was around 45 to an hour. Got front row on Viper which was a great ride as always. Next I was hungry and getting a bad headache from the heat so I went to Panda Express and got lunch before going right to Demon. Didn't even wait for front row, thankfully I didn't get sick because let's just say I did that on Drop one year and yeah you know what happened.

So after Demon was Bull red train front row, I think the longest I waited for that was 20 minutes. It was getting hotter and it was harder to ride the coasters because it was so hot out so I went and sat down on one of the benches for a couple hours to cool down and relax. After the break I watched day parade and saw Show Stoppin twice. During the second show at the end, the girl who does Flat on the Floor (won't say her name without her permission) was there throughout the entire show and as soon as Circus came on, she wasn't there. I hope she's alright. So after those shows, I went on SUF which was a 15 minute wait, then I went on Batman and the line for that was 45 minutes or less and I waited 20 minutes for front row. After Batman was V2, now V2's line was mass chaos. There was this guy that was handing out exit passes if people who were waiting in line did karoke or something like that and so everyone came pouring up V2's exit to use them and people were getting mad because the ride ops were so disorganized, it was quite hectic. After V2, I went on Whizzer 2 more times and decided to go on TDK as my last ride of the night and then I watched night parade and headed home. Hope to go either Friday or Saturday next week , haven't decided yet also depending on weather.

Totals
Whizzer-3
Bull-1
Viper-1
SUF-1
V2-1
Batman-1

SUF 15 minutes? Not bad...probably 2 minutes today with the weather which again forces me to try again next Sunday

^ I'm not bragging but remember I don't have to wait in line because of what I did to my ankle. So that's why my waits were short. It might be less crowded today because of the weather

She was back today for the last show of the season. The show was good as usual. The cast got a standing ovation at the last show, (sp) you could feel the engery in the room because they were really into the last show and some were kind of emotional during the performances. Brings back the memories of working at the park in shows years back.

I figured she would be but something must have happened, to me she looked fine thoughout the show but I have no idea what happened that made her skip Circus.

Yeah I don't let the heat bother me, I take as many breaks from the rides as possible because it is a little too hot to ride them but when it's hot I'll go see the shows or just sit on the benches to cool down before going on a couple rides at a time. This weekend I'm planning on going and it's going to be cooler so I'll get on more rides.
