Ok, I really want to get other people's reviews on how they thought the movie was. I thought it was absolutely incredible. I like how they put so many out-of-there elements in it to create one great theatrical hit. Another Pixar great, which, in my mind, is so far 10 out of 10 movies they have greatly done
For starters, the movie brings you in much like Finding Nemo did, with a cry-fest intro that quickly leads into the main story. For those who haven't seen it, I wont give anything away, but this by far the most mature film to come from Pixar. Honestly, if you were to read the plot to the mother of a five year old, she'd probably be a little hesitant on taking her child to see it. But the way Pixar presents it, it really brings out the true meaning and feelings of the events presented on the screen, in such a way that wouldn't scare or upset a youngster.
I also wish they made the movie FOR 3d, not just IN 3d. It was pretty much just "tunnel vision" with I think a whopping ONE scene where an object was flying at me, and that went by extremely quick. Most of the audience didn't even catch it.
It was a good movie, but it didn't make it to the top of my Pixar list. It's sitting right above Finding Nemo in 4th.
And, I'll never agree with the "10 for 10" statement about Pixar. Cars was a TERRIBLE movie.
The movie is great and the story is very touching. Odds are, you will find yourself teary eyed 2-4 times during the movie. The first 10 minutes of the movie are some of the most touching in an animated movie.

See, that is what made the 3-D for me. It wasn't just a gimmick with stuff flying, it showed depth. You felt like the watching the story right behind them. It also allowed to show depth in the nature scenes. A+ to them for making the 3-D something special.
The "tunnel vision" was great when viewed on an IMAX sized screen, but at a regular theater I felt as if that was the real gimmick. The movie looked great in 2d on an Ultra-Screen as well. It felt more of a ploy for the theaters to get an extra $3 out of everyone.
Amazing movie until it got interupted by two kids that wouldn't stop screaming every time some action thing happened, other than that it was really really good. Now before anyone says anything, I know it's a kids movie and kids are going to be there but some people don't know how to act in a movie theater, they just let their kids run around like maniacs and it's plan rude.
That movie had such a great plot, and it was so touchy that I cried a few times. Another excellent adventure from pixar!
