So on a gorgeous day, and a holiday i was expecting to be waiting in lines today...but let me tell you--the longest wait today was about 20 minutes for Superman! My friend was stunned at the small crowd and said you could drive a car through the southwest territory, thats how open it was.
The day started with a walk on Demon, the ride was walk on the entire day, no wait for front and able to re-ride as pleased. I love it, i dont know where people come off as saying its that rough as it never hurts my neck.
Raging Bull- hit it 3 times in a row with the line going no further then halfway down the stairs and a couple minutes wait. Front row line for Raging Bull was about 10 minutes at 12pm. The coaster was operating with all three trains for the first half of the day and eventually they rotated out the yellow, and then later in the day the red was taken out and yellow put back in. The teal stayed in all day! Hit it another 2 times for a total of 5 and waited never more then a few minutes.
Batman: The Ride (Good Batman) Looked down for the first two hours, but after that once again another very small wait. Front row line was maybe 10 minutes at most. The final time around 6pm, the front row was no wait at all! Just incredible.
V2 had a 15 minute wait,
American Eagle front was a 10 minute wait but walk on otherwise... still only Red car operating
Viper was walk on,
Iron Wolf front line was practically walk on, maybe a couple minutes.
Superman seemed to be the only ride with any sort of wait, and if waiting 20-30 minutes for the front is a long time then i guess I am spoiled
Hurricane Harbor was almost near empty with everything operating from what i saw, on what was easily the warmest, most humid day of the year so far.
This was easily the best day i have had at the park! Except for the humorous ushers that tried to con me onto that joke of a ride called the Dark Knight, i asked how long and they said an hour. They were begging me to come in because it was air conditioned. I said no way, no lines for any of the real lines. Then they tried to convince me that Dark Knight is the longest ride in the park. I laughed said sorry but no thanks. That ride blows, even a little girl on American Eagle said it to us.
Ride Count-
Bull- 5 Demon- 4 Batman- 4 V2- 1 Superman-1 Iron Wolf-1 American Eagle-1 Viper-1 ------- Total : 18
I was also at the park yesterday and was very suprised by how slow it was. I dont know if the threat of rain scared people off, but i havent seen it that slow on a holiday in a long time.
Was a very good day to be in the park. Like the poster stated the only rides that had much of a line was SUE/TDK. Also Whizzer's line was long since in the afternnon anyway, they were only running one train. Funny seeing the morons with flashpass spend the money but get very little for it!!! All in all a great day in the park, but im sure the park was disappointed with the size of the crowd.
Memorial Day seems to be a real head scratcher as crowds go. I've seen the place like it was yesterday some years. A few years ago the place was so crowded that they were discouraging people from coming in.
I haven't personally got a feel for how attendance is going to be this year but I know it's off at some parks. SFoG, SFDK, and SFNE recently announced they were cutting their admission prices by $10 in response the economics.
I didn't ride Whizzer yeserday but what was the deal with just one train for awhile?
as for me, i hope the park level stays that way whenever i go
of course i hope for success, but as the first time i have forked over for a season pass. days like yesterday as my friend described "could not be bought"
So Memorial Day is coming around again. I wonder what the crowds will be like this year? Current forecast is mostly cloudy with a high of 66 and low of 52 with a 20% chance of rain. I'm guessing average sized crowds but nothing huge.
13 - GateKeeper 14 - Millennium Force 15 - Enchanted Tales with Belle
We are not morons we are people who can afford a pass and ALWAYS nice to go right in the station. Maybe it wasn't completely full but you never can tell and it did get more crowded as the day went onIy you don't visit the park very often even getting on a ride 10-15 minutes faster is a good deal. Oh and I saw Yellow Bull train parked off at 10:30ish and after 4 so I don't know why they would change it with red and I didn't even notice...

I don't think that it will be horrible, but I don't expect it to be the best memorial day this year. The reason is that hardly anyone is going to be in the waterpark. Heck, it might not even be open . So, you have all those people that might have wanted to go in the waterpark, and they can't get in there so they are going to the regular park. I don't know if the live show in Hometown Park is open either to help combat the crowds. Also, people aren't probably want to go on any of the water rides in the regular park with those temperatures. So, lines SHOULD be bigger this Memorial Day than last year when it was warm last year.
