Let us know how your day at the park was.

To start off- what a nice day!
I enter the Washington Rd. parking entrance and breezed right in at 10am. I saw over 20 buses not bad.

Music in the Parks day- Band was playing at out front on six flag hill area. Saw a choir group performing.

Whizzer- It was smooth and fast also trees are coming in. Two train op but 3rd train ready.

Stop and check the flash pass prices. Same as last week- $27 regular and $54 gold. Only 6 rides to use them on.

Johnny rockets express area new seating placed in front of Rock Climbing Wall.

Buccaneer Battle Lots of workers all over the ride- Concrete on the midway in 99% Finish, Queue line being worked on, more timber logs install as fencing and landscaping, poles are up for sign-age, and Canons on top loading house. Over all everything looking good. There is 4 areas you can possible water spray people from land.

New in the Farmer's Market Food Court- New Flat Screen tv's install about 5 of them and other food areas at moose-burger Lodge and Orleans Pizza

Wiggle's World not open until 11am ofcouse but all ride opertor was there directing everyone to the other kids areas that was open but slow going in those kids areas :(

Iron wolf open at 11am but saw it close later in the day.

Impouto opening of 2 water rides Roaring Rapids and logger's run around noon. I was on dispatch RR of the season. I didn't get wet as other got soaked! Near the area was haystack dryer for people to dry off. A second dryer located near BB soon.

V2 is open - no holding break- slow dispatching

Dark Knight elements added-
steam pipes before Photo op drop and before the brake run was truck front leans forward with 2 bright headlights and loud horn with 2 henchmen in it.
This is what new from first opening weeks.

Superman exit into store in different and new this weekend.

Bourbon Street Cafe open this weekend but no sign-age around directing you in there because Cyber Cafe is front of it.

Last was STT nice view of the Park and things getting ready in HH. The parking was full as two weeks ago but with buses -35 plus

On the way out to Washington Rd was new signs directing you to the Toll-way Via Rte 21 and Rte 120. This a good thing to kept after road construction is finish!

That All Folks :!:

I was also there today and wanted to add a few things to what you said.

Iron Wolf was running again why I was on STT around 6.

I also agree with the slow load times on V2. American Eagle was just as bad. The time we were on around 11:30 there was already a line backed past the split to pick between the red and blue side (blue side was closed all day, I think.) When we got on, the guy in the front forgot to check until after the guy in the back was done. Lead to around a 4 minute wait.

The Dark Knight was using more trains this weekend as there was no bottle neck after the pre-show.

The Demon's yellow train looks great. Amazing what a coat of paint and new restrains can do to a ride.

Raging Bull was only running 2 trains when I looks from the Giant Drop. Lead to lines near the entrance so it was a skip for me.

Great day at the park and great weather.

I don't like what they did to the Balloons. They have a guy with a key now (like Six Flags Over Georgia's balloons) in which only he can open it. So, he has to go to every balloon to open it. This is probably to save on maintenance when locks are broke.

V2 has 1 new tv that wasn't working. Lockers + tvs. Hmmm.. They still have the bins in the station though.

The guy was in Batman the Ride line trying to fix one of the flat screen tv's, and it never turned on. During the day Batman the Ride had many of the lights out in the tunnel part, and you were walking into people right before the station because you couldn't see the person in front of you.

For loading V2, one time it took about 2 minutes, and 20 seconds. Than, there was a person that I think got ejected from the park for life as they went in a restricted area to get a hat. They are so strict because of someone getting injured in the area of Ninja (at Six Flags Magic Mountain), a person getting their head decapitated by Batman the Ride (at Six Flags Over Georgia), and a worker getting killed by Batman the Ride (SFOG again) being in the ride area when it was going.

For Whizzer, sometimes a person was on the platform, but didn't exit while the train was in motion. (They were never told to.) Is this a new thing to save time?? For Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disney, they do that. They have a square yellow box for people to wait in, but the station exit area is much bigger.

For Rue Le Dodge, they were letting people go in the bumper car area a lot quicker. They weren't really waiting for the last person to exit. One person was a little too fast letting people in, and it felt like Chaos to me.

I think the Neon yellow Demon train looks ugly. Demon now has a regular gate instead of a turnstyle when exiting (like Batman the Ride). I think turnstyles slow down the exiting process anyway, and this is for the better.

Sky Trek Tower has a new awning (blue and white). The Riddler was in the park. I don't remember if Great America had him before. I remember seeing him in Over Texas though.

Lastly, some people were talking about what was the first steel roller coaster, and they were saying something like Six Flags created it, or something of that nature. Well, the first steel roller coaster that I'm aware of was Matterhorn Bobsleds in Disneyland. I believe the first steel looping coaster was Revolution at Six Flags Magic Mountain. I think that's the ride they were talking about.

^Just like the mother that told her kid Raging Bull was the tallest coaster in the country. Just to add a few more things from today.

-Demon- yellow train ftw!Plus tunnel lights are back but they turned off quicker
-1st time in the front of Logger's Run. I kind of slid on the drop  but fun.
-BTR-Never noticed but random car noises in the queue before the drain tunnel. Fun as always
-Viper-Smooth, 10 minute wait
-Orbit-walk-on

Not too bad for an hour and a half on a semi-busy day

Good to hear water rides are back open but it would be kinda chilly for me to get wet when Gurnee temps are still in the low 60's, high 50's later in the day...Clipper will probably reopen in the coming weeks

With the TVs being off, they finally turned off the TVs in the Dark Knight que yesterday. About time they did that, nothing like hearing Kit Hoover while watching a pre-show. However, they still had the ads for the park running on the LED below the screen on the right side. You know, I've been to a lot of rides with pre-shows and I can say this is the first ride I've seen advertise their own tickets during the pre-show. They have got to stop that.
